Pros +
- Great location, we were there for an event nearby
- Convenient location for train station, lovely staff and good value for money
- I requester a quiet room but the one I was given had a kitchen exhaust near the wall. The Night porter change it and the location was fine for the duration of my stay.
Cons -
- The room was very dated with hole on the duvet cover and torn carpet. Had to move furniture to move the kettle as when plugged in where it was situated, it didn't sit flat. Also had to pay on arrival, asked if we could pay in the morning as would probably have breakfast, to be just told no. No details of breakfast or check-out times were given
- There was loud music till midnight. If you want to go to sleep before midnight, go somewhere else.
- Stayed there 3 times over 10 years, been great but the stairs to the rooms are treacherous with heavy bags

Stayed there 3 times over 10 years, been great but the stairs to the rooms are treacherous with heavy bags
The staff were great and very helpful especially night porter
It was a bit tired and our room was still being refurbished
was central and lady on reception when we arrived was lovely friendly and helpful
very outdated and whoever the man was shouting at the lady on the reception desk after we arrived was not professional didnt need to do it when quests were about the room was very outdated room was cold couldnt move in the shower very small bed was horrendous was the worst sleep ever had in a hotel
The staff were really friendly, it was chilled out with old school vibes. Lovely meal and a drink, friendly people. The room had everything you need, I slept well. V helpful to have a dedicated motorbike parking place at the back of the hotel. The Meridian place next door did a great breakfast. The WiFi worked.
There was loud music from another nearby pub, but it stopped at midnight.
Location and next to amenities. Restaurant bar attached to hotel were very nice.
TV did not work on first trying as cable had been pulled out of wall. Bed linen had a kitchen type smell either sheets are washed along with Whites or are kept close to kitchen picking up a cooking oil smell. Noisy at night with both traffic and car music. No hairdryer in room. No in room phone for calling reception.
What, restaurant and bar can't provide water?
Bar, service.Didn't have soda water ? Basic soda water!!!???
Staff were helpfull, room was clean and tidy. Location was ideal.
Shower water temperature was too cold.
Location and friendly staff.
The noise of the pumps and doors, very loud and disturbing. Depending on your room you can hear the band in the Twa Dugs pub until closing time.
Location
Room was basic but clean, bed was on wheels, so kept moving. Room had no shower, just a bath, not acceptable.
Bar meals for dinner are delicious. I think we may have arrived a little late but we were served. It was our second visit and while checking in the staff mentioned this. All makes for a good stay.
Very central location, close to railway station, bus station, cinema, shops and restaurants. Top marks for having Windows that open!
Was quite expensive.
My room was very large, with a view over Burns Statue Square yet very quiet. The room itself was a little old-fashioned, but very comfortable and well equipped, and the shower room was modern and easy to use. Lots of clean towels, and plenty of space to lay out cosmetics etc.
Nothing!
The room was tidy and clean , But needed to be aired Location was perfect for my needs Breakfast i did not eat breakfast .
The car park wild life needs to got under control.
The hotel was nearby a public parking. The room was reasonably sized and clean.
The hotel was very old. Even if it was clean, the furniture and interior looked like it was there since day one. The bathroom didn't had a shower or similar and just an old bathtub.
Clean room and bathroom. Good location.
The pub next door blared loud, live music on both Friday and Saturday evenings.
