Pros +
- Bed was comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful and the cooked breakfast was good. Location was okay for where I needed to go.
- It's nice and close to the town and pool usually quite clean
- Beautiful hotel and entrance. Staff where so helpfull and very welcoming. The room was lovely everything we needed and very clean.
Cons -
- The hotel is really quite tired (worn carpets, tatty paintwork, ineffective shower) and someone set off a fire alarm at 07.00 on a Sunday morning.
- I've stayed there several times with my daughter this time just young lads slamming the door to the room next door constantly late at night Not happens before I know the TV is not top of the list for many but I stay with my daughter so while in the room the TV is a must it was terrible fade picture very few channels and no kids ones But I must say I stay in perth very regularly and this is the case with many of them it's really quite annoying The breakfasts used to be full cooked breakfast got down expecting this turns out it's continental there was nothing in the booking that showed that this was the case now. I used to eat there on the Saturday all changed I didn't bother this time prices are just way to high
- The shower pressure was not the best. The bed dipped in the middle.

The shower pressure was not the best. The bed dipped in the middle.
We chose this place because it was quite affordable. The breakfast was good, the staff were helpful, and we had no issues during check-in or check-out.
The room we received was quite old, and one of the beds seemed like an extra add-on, so it wasn’t very comfortable. The room also had a very strong chlorine smell — which is definitely better than it being dirty, but still a bit overwhelming. We also couldn’t sleep with the window open because the room was on the first floor, and there was no safe option for ventilation without having the window fully open, which felt insecure.
No heating in the bathroom, no extractor fan and nowhere to dry the towels after use.
The staff were all lovely and welcoming the room was clean and comfortable. Even the toilets provided a selection sanitary female hygiene products . Dinner was amazing best steak I have had in years the waiter rocky lol was welcoming and chatty and very helpful would definitely ? return
Reasonably Priced / Clean Room / Excellent location for PRI Day Surgery Unit and City Centre
The Lovat has seen better days - decor is tired and somewhat depressing. Needs to have money spent on it!
Clean. Oatmilk fir coffee and cereal
Tv doesn't turn on in the morning when it was working the night before. Having to figure out the heating( how to turn on the plug on space heater). Pigeons nesting above doorway entrance and not fixing that hole or the roof. Dont have high expectation for breakfast( continental) , non pillowy croissant.otherwise cereal, hot water for tea and powdered coffee, ham and cheese, cereal, they do have oatmilk (if requested), fruit salad, bananas, clementine, oj and apple juice.
Nice location Not a far walk from the town Staff very friendly and welcoming Amazing food Nicely decorated rooms-felt homely Bar is open until very late which was good Pool table was a nice little add on and kept in good condition Clean
Nothing not to like - there was a dead wasp in the bathtub but unsure of when it happened as the room itself appeared very clean. We didn’t notify staff of this as could have happened after being cleaned and it’s easy to get rid of dead wasp ourselves instead of making a fuss.
The staff is really friendly, good breakfast, and a bath that was a good surprise :)
Terrible bed, perhaps broken or so, windows were closed by the tape, a bit more cleanliness would be nice too
Bar service good and Rosie looked after getting us good food from the kitchen
Breakfast was poor - service was limited. Ran out of mushrooms towards the end. Sausages and rashers not fully cooked. No tomatoes. Had to remind staff for more milk and cutlery. All these are basics for a good breakfast offering in any modern hotel.
The shower leaked. Room bench not clean. Cooked breakfast cold. Floors creaked.
Evening meal, staff were helpful on explaining food available. Cooked breakfast was good plus a choice jam for toast, also cereal's and fruit.Room was very clean and comfortable, bathroom was ideal for size.
Not many channels available on tv.
Room was really nice and comfortable with everything we needed.
The 1st morning we went down for breakfast was quite chaotic. Bread was mouldy, we had to ask for food as the Bain maries were empty, food came in dribs and drabs. We had to ask for cutlery and plates as they hadn't been topped up, was pretty poor. To be fair the next couple of mornings things did improve significantly.
Any staff encountered seemed nice.
The room was very hot with no ventilation or window to open. The shower was either freezing cold or scolding hot… you get what you pay for with this low budget hotel.
Staff were lovely and accommodating.
I had to switch rooms three times, because the showers didn't function and TVs were shite. Whole place needs to have significant shot of funds to bring into 21st century.
Location was good.
Very dated. Room was warm, one window didn't open, bathroom looked dirty, especially the shower curtain. Bar was supposed to be open until 4, I went down at 3 to buy a bottle of water, bar closed and no staff. No vending machine or anything to get a drink until the morning. I found it expensive for what it was, I assume the price is due to the limited hotels in the area. We paid £120 a night, would be worth half of that to be completely honest. Would have paid extra to stay elsewhere now having been.
The staff were really next level lovely and helpful. The lady Sarah in the breakfast and the new man who had just started there were absolutely the best. All staff really, reception and bar too. They made the stay.
The breakfast was good, but would have loved a fresher egg option, like poached eggs, and a latte rather than instant coffee. Enjoyed it though.
Poor
The bathroom smells, the bed is uncomfortable, the food is terrible, generally run down,
Breakfast
Shower had no pressure in it . Windows very thin noisy and black mould
