Very helpful and friendly staff.Room very impressive.Lovely decor including the bird framed prints on the wall.Great breakfast and restaurant menu and quality.
We received a warm welcome on arrival and enjoyed coffee and cake in the popular bar - a lovely touch alongside the usual drinks. The recently refurbished hotel has beautifully decorated rooms and our room featured a large, comfortable bed with quality cotton bedding; and modern amenities like a coffee machine and flat-screen TV, both easy to operate. The splendid bathroom had a fantastic power shower; and being in the centre of town we had a stunning view of the historic town square and river from our bedroom window. We stayed for two nights and slept well as our room was warm and peaceful. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which included a fresh buffet as well as a variety of cooked options. On our first morning I had avocado and poached egg on toast and my husband enjoyed the full vegan breakfast which sustained us on our countryside walk around Alyth. We look forward to returning to The Alyth Hotel when we are next in Perthshire.
In our opinion, there was nothing to dislike!
Bar staff where nice, beds comfy.
Bathroom was very dirty, dust everywhere, cover on bed was ripped, mouldy smell in hallway, food was not very good, room at front meant poor sleep due to rowdy teenagers.
Beautiful décor and really comfortable beds, service was brilliant and breakfast was very tasty
Only thing I would pick up on is maybe having a few extra loo rolls in the cupboard under the sink.
Great breakfast, nicely decorated room, comfortable bed.
The walls were thin so you can hear people talking in the other room. No wardrobe to hang clothes.
Fantastic decor with warm, smart colours, tasty Christmas decorations. Very helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Super comfortable bed, and delicious breakfast. The hotel been recently renovated so it looks very smart
Nothing really
Very clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff and good food.
Lovely decor, very comfortable, friendly staff, terrific room, great food.
Breakfast was lovely. Traditional Scottish and delicious. The owners parents had breakfast with us and told us so much about the area and the hotel. The recent revitalization of this 1940's village pub is gorgeous, cozy, comfy & welcoming.
Decor, atmosphere, food and location.
Bedroom 11 was a superior double but had no wardrobe only some hooks for hanging up a small amount of clothes. This was fine, but if arriving or out on a rainy day, there is no separate space to hang wet jackets. Would work with even a hook or two elsewhere to separate outerware.Reception tends to look a little abandoned. Even a welcome sign on the desk with note to go to bar if no one on reception would be good.
The decor, the staff excellent the food it's location close to pitlochry and Blairgowrie a very comfy bed,all n all lovely spot for a weekend break to chill. 0

Breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice. Lovely warm welcome.
Rooms to the side a little bit dark. Therefore felt colder
Staff were helpful and polite. Lovely area.Food was delicious. Bathroom was gorgeous.
Cleaning of the rooms needs worked on.
Nicely decorated, very friendly staff
Weird location, not much going on lots of kids hanging out in the town square. We’re friendly enough but I guess the co-op is the local haunt don’t look like there is too much else around for them to do stuff.Monday and Tuesday no restaurant didn’t help the situation. We got deep fried pizza at the local chippy.
Breakfast choices were outstanding and meals arrived in a very timely manner. The food offered at all meal times actually was really well prepared and very tasty. Worth every penny! The waiting staff deserve a special mention and praise too for being both helpful and very accommodating. Room twelve had a very nice view to the front of the hotel.
Hotel was in great location and staff were lovely. Delicious evening meal and breakfast, and serving staff were fabulous. Decor in room was tasteful and everything was comfortable for the most part.
We were placed at the back of the hotel with windows that faced directly onto the next building, no view. I know there were other rooms available as it showed 3 still on Booking. Shower was very tiny and difficult to move around in. We heard an unsettling domestic situation next door and a loud buzzing noise intermittently throughout the night, possibly the HVAC.
Lovely stay at this hotel. Staff were very helpful and gave us an early check in as we were attending a wedding in the afternoon. Breakfast was exceptional and young man serving breakfast was very nice. Rooms all been done up and interior looks stunning.
