Pros +
- We arrived late due to traffic but was welcomed all the same and felf comfortable right from arrival. Due to meeting we didnt get to explore all the facilities but we loved the peace of the area. The welcome package of bread and tea making facilities was a lovely touch and meant everyone could have something on arrival. We saw a red squirrel outside the lodge and Im sure there is a lot more wildlife but we didnt get to see as much as we could have.
- How accommodating and friendly the entire team was during our 2 week visit there.
- Location and yeh friendly staff
Cons -
- Nothing all was as we would have liked, will definately stay longer next time.
- This was our third visit over three years and the standards has always been high and consistent. Thanks to the managmnet and the whole staff team. Would like to thank Ms. Jennifer for being so helpful and accommodating
- Rooms were not completely clean. Lot of spider webs in the room.

Rooms were not completely clean. Lot of spider webs in the room.
Location and space
No internet House keeping is not covered, we didn’t know Rooms are in the ground floor and didn’t help to change type of unit for a more comfortable unit.
Location
Internet is not working No housekeeping
Very clean and spacious room. Extremely comfortable bed. Stayed for 3 nights and slept like a baby every night. Breakfast was good too.
The only negative was that in room dining required us to share our credit card details over the phone ...only then could we order food. We have travelled the world but never did we experience something like this. Who gives details over the phone. They could've charged us on the room or we could've paid when they got the food.
the lodge was perfect for a family and when we arrived they had many little things like bread ,, butter , even milk and juice so it was very connvenjent. the grounds are beautiful and the restaurant was very good too, enjoyed the live music on the weekend
the price i paid was more than twice what was listed on the hotel website. i contacted the hotel who said i need to contact booking.com. i wrote twice to booking.com with no reponse. really disappointed and frustrated at this and feels like a real breach of trust.
nice setting
the villa on the ground floor had terrible smell possibly mice
Everything was lovely, especially the settings...our room was lovely though a little on the warm side ..the leisure center was great, and the food was wonderful...
There was nothing not to like...
The grounds are immaculate and the lodges are very comfortable and spacious. Pool is great.
The breakfasts could have been better.
The lodge itself was spacious, clean and well equipped. Lovely grounds, nice spa area. We had good breakfasts and a great dinner one of the evenings.
Bed mattresses were a bit thin/tired, so not the most comfortable. No blackout curtains in bedrooms, so very light in the mornings. The spa was quite busy a lot of the time with families with children, so not restful or relaxing. Also, we had the gardeners with a noisy blower outside our lodge for much of the afternoon which made it impossible to rest or have a nap. Avoid staying here on a Tuesday if you're looking for a quiet space - it's their gardening day!
I opted out of breakfast .. I often do. But I do know there's a huge choice. X Last year I stayed here often. It's perfect for families, couples and us solo travellers. I will be back again soon!
The house was very spacious and clean and the facilities are great the kids really enjoyed the pool.
The toilet in our en-suite did notFlush very well and was leaking some brown liquid from the flush handle. I did report it.
Nice building and scenery
The bedroom had cobwebs, and quite a lot of them, and there was a lot of dust of the headboard and behind the TV. For a 4 star hotel I also would have expected to be able to order breakfast and not have it buffet style. There wasn’t a lot of choice for breakfast either. I appreciate it was bank holiday weekend but the leisure facilities were jam packed, with no system to Mann how many people are there at one time. Also the lockers did not lock, so we have to leave our valuables unattended which we absolutely did not want to do, so we had to leave.
Location was very good, apartment was spacious and well maintained. Swimming pool and other facilities were also very good. Family friendly.
I would suggest that the art collection inside the apartment room (wall hanging) needs to be revived. It might be my personal view but I would suggest fine art collection should be universal acceptable to multi cultural and multi faith communities.
No Internet access , which was very annoying. I couldn’t watch Any movies in my IPad when in the room. I complained but apparently there is an issue .Pool was small and was very crowded with children all day except 8am to 9 am , When the weather is rainy , there isn’t much you can do, especially no connection either internet. I would have liked to have sourdough bread for breakfast not slices , they only served sourdough on a Wednesday, and more fresh fruits.
Lovely setting. Nice pool. Fantastic staff and great accommodation
Was good but was very cold even with heating on
Was very cold and the tv was very old so could not use our amazon stick
Quite location all though would been better in sunnier area was down in the trees
All upstairs wasn’t good as older guest with us
We had a very enjoyable stay here . All the staff were extremely helpful and offered great service. Swimming most days with a sauna steam room and jacuzzi. Great place for exploring Castles Lochs and beautiful scenic walks.Exactly what we needed. Well done.
