Carlton Court Hotel

The rooms are clean, large and have all amenities such as TV, private bathroom, tea and coffee. The location is perfect for a family stay.

The price is high, but I understand that it is the summer holiday season.

Like a lot of places in Eastbourne etc. this is a converted building. Quirky in a fun way, but space saving in others. My only improvement would be to a bit more space in the single room shower, as my curtain kept sticking to my elbow or legs. But other than that, it was all good.

Cost location The staff were very welcoming and warm- no issues with staffing

I understand it is an older building but the noise from people above was so loud late at night very early so didn't sleep well Also the pillow was so hard and uncomfortable resulting in waking with a headache.

I like the fact that the hotel is situated close to the beach and easy access to the community and train station.

The room was very dusty, it was like the rug hasn't been cleaned or vacuum for a long time. The bathroom was small, i could barely move my body in around the toilet.

Amazing location, stylish rooms, helpful staff and delicious breakfast. Worth every penny.

The service was excellent, specially breakfast is wonderful and the staff were friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax and enjoy my time. Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly. It was a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. I would definitely return and highly recommend it to others!

Location was good, that was about the only positive for this hotel.

The smell of cigarettes as we walked up the stairs to the main door was disgusting. In one of the rooms there was urine on the toilet seat and the sink was dirty. In the other room the bathroom looked dirty. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillow was very thin. You could here people talking in other rooms and almost felt they were in the room with you.

This hotel was a complete nightmare from start to finish. The radiator in the room didn’t work, and it was absolutely freezing! I spent the night shivering. To make it worse, the room smelled absolutely awful like a mix of damp, old carpet, like someone been smoking and something I couldn’t even identify. It hit me the second I walked in and never went away. I did complain and got an upgrade but this was no better. The bed was rock hard, lumpy, and unbelievably uncomfortable. Between the cold, the smell, and the terrible mattress, I barely slept at all. The bathroom wasn’t any better and was so small. The bath literally is like a baby bath! The hotel is very outdated and really needs updating. Breakfast? Kitchen was closed! Had to pay for parking which on the ticket was £2.50 but I had to pay the hotel £4.00 which is wrong. Tb doesn’t work, no signal at all Honestly, I wouldn’t stay here again if it were free. Cold, smelly, dirty, and totally lacking in comfort. Avoid this place at all costs.

The property was very comfortable. Facilities were good apart from the fact that no food was available as the chef was on holiday. The staff were very helpful and courteous
