Afton Hotel

Good location; in front of Eastbourne pier / promenade. Short walk to shops/bars/restaurants. Easy walking distance to Eastbourne train station.

Tired, dated room.Poor shower pressure; no shower mat/towel or hand towel. Noisy; can hear neighbouring guests.

The location was right next to beach and pier , short walk to shops . There wasn't no noise from other people that where staying

On arrival, we were given a seafront room overlooking the pier on the first floor, which was clean & spacious. Check in was easy & the staff were polite & informative. We were there for the air show so the town was very busy but they told us places we could park within a short walk from the hotel. You can buy a parking voucher for £2 per day which is very useful.

Went for the tennis tournament late June. Very central place, walkable from the train station and staff was always keen to help and really kind.

Maybe the fact that I could only use the WiFi at the lounge.

The room was flooded with light,large and comfortable with a small table and chairs in the bay window,the bed was comfortable some hotel beds gave us a bad back after a couple of nights ,this bed didnt.The bathroom was adequate with a good shower.The hotel was on the sea front.

The walls were quite thin and we could hear conversations in the next room.

Just needed a room fan as it was stuffy. Staff provided one immediately ??

Location and ease to get to our rooms - politeness of staff at all times was top and management being on-site was nice to see a familiar face too! We will be coming back :-)

We called for breakfast time but was told it was availalbe only for big events like last week's airshow - that was disappointing because it does say about breakfast on the website and, not specific to events. Neither was WIFI availalble in any of our rooms which was disappointing but we were promised there woudl be a booster in the hotel for WIFI all around for our next stay in a couple of months so looking forward to that :-)

There appeared to be a lot of unsavoury characters hanging around outside the property, when I returned to the hotel around 2200 !!

for £61 i didn't expect anything more than I got, clean bed, good shower, tea and coffee in the room, and a decent tv.

you get what you pay for, ergo there was nothing to dislike. A late drink would have been a plus but I don't think they staff the bar?

Location was good. Staff were friendly and approachable. Could see the Pier from our room.Easy to find

Hotel does need updating, pressure and temp of shower not too good- however it served the purpose for the 1 night we stayed there

Very polite staff clean room lovely view so close to the beach only a 5 minute walk to the town plenty of restaurants around

The room needs to be decorated and the toilet didn't flush properly
