Location was great and staff were very friendly, Sarah was amazing. It was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely time here.

Nothing I didn’t like but a suggestion would be to offer a few more choices for breakfast e.g fruit

Location was perfect, pretty room with old features

    Was only there one night

    5ShaunPosted on: 2-15-2026

    Clean and spacious

The wind caused a lot of noise affecting sleep, like a loud whistle. Housekeeping staff started at nearish 7am and talking very loud so you can hear through walls easily.

Views from room, location of hotel. Friendly staff.

Would have felt more comfortable having more than a net in the bathroom windows.

    9StellaPosted on: 2-12-2026

    Good view of the sea

Could do with some modern furniture and bathroom update.

This is an old fashioned place right on the seafront and whilst slightly run down in areas, it is comfortable. The reception staff were attentive and good at their job. We stayed just before Christmas for a night and the room had a little Christmas tree in it which was a lovely touch. The view from the room was as good as you can get - looking out onto the coast. Easy to find location with free parking on the street behind. I would stay again but go elsewhere for breakfast (see below!)

Breakfast. The breakfast experience was one of the most bizarre I have ever experienced. There is a very limited buffet area with huge bowls of cereal to help yourself from (the hygiene aspect here is dubious). The breakfast menu is just a full English - not sure why bother with a menu if that's the only option lol. We ordered 2 full English breakfasts and they came out, I am not joking, about 45 seconds later. Yes an incredibly swift service but obviously pre-plated, hence only the one option and clearly not freshly cooked, it looked like playmobil, I could not bear to eat any of it and I felt terrible for wasting food. The quality of the breakfast items are very poor, I took the sausage home for my dog but she did not want it! This was such a shame as if it was (much) higher quality ingredients and freshly prepared it could be a standout feature of a nice hotel.

Everything was fine. A charming old hotel by the sea in Eastbourne, perfect for lovers of classic style. Crystal lamps, curtains and carpets create a beautiful, nostalgic atmosphere.

    Funny toilet, very small

Cosy hotel directly at the Beach. The breakfast was really nice.

Our bed was a bit soft, but for one night it was totally fine.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The decor is stunning, modern yet cozy, with a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Every corner of the hotel feels thoughtfully designed, with beautiful details that made my stay even more enjoyable. (Bonus, the Xmas decorations were still up).The staff was absolutely amazing, friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. They truly made me feel welcome and ensured that I had everything I needed to have a great experience.Location-wise, it's perfect! Oppersite the beach and a short walk to town.As for cleanliness, I was very impressed. The rooms were spotless, and you could tell that they take great pride in maintaining a high standard of hygiene. Every part of the hotel felt fresh and well-kept.Overall, I highly recommend the hotel for anyone visiting the area. With excellent decor, top-notch staff, a great location, and impeccable cleanliness, it's a wonderful choice for your stay!
