Mirabelle restaurant is always a gastronomic delight.

Pool, steam and jacuzzi closed for 24hrs.

Very palatial building which does need some outdoor maintenance. Rooms and corridors great size and a lovely welcome from the concierge on arrival. Used the health club which was very nicely decorated and clean. Also thanks to Stacy for the very relaxing massage

Booked dinner in the Mirabelle restaurant Thursday night but no atmosphere at all - no back ground music. Surely a smaller area would be more intimate? Also had to remind staff of discount advertised for Jan & Feb which they said they were unaware of !!! This was surprising as it was almost the end of January when we dined there. Aldo breakfast served in a huge room with very few guests. Although a beautiful room it was just too big and quiet for the few people staying

Lovely historic hotel in a great location. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Location is fabulous! Breakfast is excellent and staff very friendly. This was our third visit and we love coming back. Indoor pool in the evenings is great.

The heritage of the property. Lovely style - 1895 and lovely history.

Bed mattress too soft, the room could use a very minor update. Consistently kept having to ask for more water bottles - but this is minor stuff.

    Location was great

The shower was old and very small, and the bathroom drainage didn’t work properly. The double bed was made of two single mattresses pushed together, which was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was acceptable but not great. Overall, the hotel felt more like a 4-star property rather than meeting a true 5-star standard.

Reception staff and door staff, bar staff, restaurant staff

It's a shame there's no sauna here - especially as there once was. You should put in infra red to lift the quality of the facilities.

Receptionist was very welcoming forgotten her name she had an Australian accent young girl with great social skills.consierge was friendly and helpful aswell.

The location, high ceilings - decor, basically the splendour of The Hotel

The glasses that were used in the bar area - very basic especially for such a beautiful bar areaWe asked for 2 x Vodka and tonics and had to ask for a slice of lemon When asked for a nicer glass the barman offered me almost a vase I would put flowers in

Ease of parking and check in, plus quality and atmosphere of whole venue.Health club was great too.Service levels were very high but delivered with a friendly informality.

    Nothing of note

We stayed 2 nights . The first morning the dinning room was very busy. We had to wait 40minutes for a pot of coffee and had to ask 3 times to 3 different waiters. The second morning the dinning room was quiet and the service was good . The food was good, and plenty of options. The staff were attentive and helpful throughout the hotel. The location is perfect. We would definitely go again.

There is little not to like. The hot tub needs an upgrade and the pool tiles a clean. One thing we noticed in the dining room was that the staff often took food to the wrong tables and then were wandering around looking for the right one. Perhaps if the tables were numbered it would help them.

We were only there for one night and spent little time in the hotel. Our engagement with staff was brief but all went well and room was comfortable.

    No negatives.

Great choice for breakfast but lactose free options would be preferred

Evening meal not the usual standard

    7JuliePosted on: 12-23-2025

Love the location - we have been visiting there for a number of years. The Christmas decorations were lovely and the staff all welcoming and polite.

Nothing really except as all places it seems they are cutting back some ways- the breakfast isn’t as ‘grand’ as it was, less choice and smaller portions although the prices have increased!

    8AndrewPosted on: 12-20-2025

Great staff very knowledgeable and helpful

In desperate need of investment and upgrade very tired looking furniture looked as old as the building no draft beer and the facilities have probably never been upgraded or replaced

The ambience, was lovely, staff were courteous and professional, the bed was super comfortable, room service was excellent.

My stay was for my birthday celebration. My son paid for our dinner on my birthday night however, on checking out I was billed for the dinner and my son was refunded the payment that he made

    6MarkPosted on: 12-12-2025

The room size . The breakfast was good but not exceptional.

A bit old fashioned. Limited TV choice.
