    Pros +

    • The friendliness of the staff, the location the beautiful old ornate building, the entertainment- absolutely spot on
    • The evening entertainment was good ,and guests were friendly and nice location
    • Great location, clean.

    Cons -

    • The breakfast could have been better
    • Bed was a little small.
    • The double bed was on the small size and the pillows were not great so we both didn't sleep well. The hotel needs to be refurbished so the inside sparkles more but keeps its traditional look. This goes for the bedrooms as well. The outside has a fantastic look but like I said, the inside upgrading.

Room was on the 5th floor so the view was very good. Parking was also free and onsite which was a bonus. The building was very old and interesting in certain parts. The hotel was right on the seafront opposite the pier so easy access to nice walks and into the town. We were just around the corner from the venue we went to so very easy access. Lovely to walk along the promenade by the sea.

Lovely old style hotel with charm and character. Excellent breakfast!

Rooms could do with a lick of paint.

Great location just at the water front and good parking.

The hotel is rather worn down. Breakfast is served between 8-9 but when we arrived 9:30, there was no space and we had to return in 15 min.

    Great location.

Huge amounts of pigeon guano on the window cill, which is a H&S hazard ⚠️ Also, when I entered my room it stunk of smelly feet ?Horrible!

Location is right on the sea front and you can walk for miles in either direction. The pier is directly opposite the hotel.Breakfast was nice, the room was clean and spacious and overlooked the sea front.

One of the male reception staff (who represent the initial contact with the guests, and who is the face of the hotel), needs to take a refresher course in customer liason and interaction with people, as incorrectly arguing with a guest as to where the wifi password 'is', but 'isn't', and then not admitting he was wrong and saying 'sorry', lets the hotel down.Other than that, all was very enjoyable for our 2 day stay.

Location is very good- parking is very good- breakfast is good

The hotel is in a good location clean and comfortable room.

Although hotel was nice meals entertainment and location very good for taking day trips to places .The high street and rubbish in side street let's it down. The windows could inside of hotel could do with repainting.

the hotel was built in 1880 so a old hotel, the bar area and the entertainment room looked recently refurbished, the dinning room also, and both very grand, bar prices very reasonable, all other areas were looking the worse for wear, the bedroom was very large clean and fresh, plenty hot water and a great shower, bedroom corridors also well maintained, the lift was very dirty, the front door of the hotel had a hole in it you can see daylight through it, i am afraid the breakfast was poor, cheap sausages with no taste, bacon cold and had been cooked for some time and kept warm, bread (toast)very thin slices gives the impression of cheap produced purchased, a large free car park, a bonus these days, attended the hotel to meet up with friends, but heyho we learn, shall not visit again.

    food quality, dirty areas,

We have stayed at the Queens Hotel several times and always enjoy our stay. The staff are very friendly and the evening entertainment was good although as the Hotel was not full there was not enough people to play Bingo as usual but that was fine.

There isn't anything we didn't like and we will return later in the Season.

If you looked close enough, some of the decor was dated and needed updating

Not much, the check in and check out were fine, parking was good. Good view

Most of it, the room was miserable, poor, 1970’s style and very sad. The bar didn’t have any beer. Breakfast was very poor, juice machine empty 10 minutes after opening. Coffee was stone cold, it could have been made with cold water, when I got a replacement pot it was horrible, undrinkable.

    5ClairPosted on: 3-7-2025

It had lovely waiters in the dining room

It was a bit tired in the room A new hair dryer The breakfast was only ok not spectacular

    8MargaretPosted on: 3-2-2025

Location excellent. We were given a sea view room. Seafront walk just across the road.

Radiators old. Room a little cool late afternoon before radiator came on.

    5TomPosted on: 1-31-2025

Room was good. Site was central and parking easy

The fact that neither breakfast or dinner was available because the hotel main clientele were coached based and they full for both meals

    8GERARDPosted on: 11-2-2024

Location, view to Pier, good size room & friendly staff

The room we had was above the bar, so had some noise from the music but not over noisy
