Best Western York House Hotel

Absolutely lovely hotel, right on the seafront. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, the staff were polite and helpful

It is a nice authentic building on the seafront

The room was small with no shower gel or shampoo provided

Lovely stay in the double deluxe room with a 4 poster bed and a jacuzzi bath this was a great location on the seafront with a great view

Parking was reasonable at £2.35 per day..

Wasn't able to have shower as water was scolding hot, notified reception staff who said it's probably the thermostat..

Our room was a little small but very good value for money

Second time ive stayed here .its great value for money .room was clean bed was comfy and loved the nice warm pool . Breakfast was really nice but a bit on the expensive side

There was nothing i did not like

Evening meal was excellent and breakfast on Saturday morning was excellent. Room was comfortable

Breakfast on Sunday morning was buffet service and we had to wait a long time for everything to come out. Nothing came out together so breakfast was cold. When we asked for bacon we was given a plate of bacon on our table but nothing else was ready so this was a waste as no one wanted it cold.

The property was local to all amenities and the room was very clean and comfortable

The lift I am afraid of them however I managed the stairs fine

Hotel is very dated and feels as if it could do with a good deep clean.

I liked the bedroom. The bathroom was OK. The staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the swimming pool. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you.

That the nearby music store I could walk to, has now moved a drive away, and is not close now.

Welcoming Reception, easy parking right outside hotel with the voucher.Comfortable room, and bed. Plenty of cupboard space/sockets.Nice clean pool and dining areas.

Could do with larger range of tea, coffee, chocolate sachets, milk in room - and biscuits! Daughters shower cubicle not very clean around tray. Grouting needs replacing/ bleaching in both rooms as has black mould in places.

The staff were friendly; the property is right on the beach; the pool is sweet with bird mosaics and not too busy; it’s relatively peaceful; the shampoo etc is natural; the WiFi connection was decent. The view across the beach was lovely. It’s not brand new but it’s comfortable and well kept and I really like its charm.

The room was clean, tidy and well laid out. Breakfast was great! The location was great, opposite the beach and as I was eating breakfast I was faced with a beautiful sunrise.

It was hard to turn the shower down from very hot to a more moderate temperature.

breakfast was lacking in fresh fruit could have been a bit better but cooked breakfast was ok . dinner was good but dessert of ice cream was way overpriced just 3 very small things scoops no sauce no wafer nothing at all

The radiator was either off and a little cold or blazing hot. Should be under the window

Reception was friendly and helpful, the room was fine, bed comfortable and the bathroom reasonably well appointed, although there was very little shelf space. We had the luxury of having the swimming pool to ourselves before breakfast and it was warm and well-maintained. There was a friendly greeting at breakfast and plenty of food options.

The narrow passages and fire doors leading to the room give a poor impression of what was otherwise a good room. The only negative was the bedside reading light which kept turning itself off!
