Pros +
- Great location, super friendly staff
- The view was nice, close to the pier and breakfast was nice
- This hotel is on the seafront, and our room had great sea views. Breakfast was included and was really filling. The room was a decent size, and we slept well.
Cons -
- Could have done with a hand towel in the bathroom rather than the customary 2 towels for 2 people.
- Very very dated, in need of huge refurb, the bathroom was very old and smelt of damp, the toilet didn't flush and shower head full of limescale, the windows are old and single glazed so you couldn't sleep from the noise of the road (very busy all night) we left a night early from 3 night stay as we couldn't get any sleep, this was in an upgraded Seaview room so god knows what a normal room is like!
- The room had plumbing problems, and the sink and toilet needed attention.

Location helpful staff and lovely breakfast
Hotel all round
- location- friendly staff- breakfast- good price for room
- no hand towel- is cold walking round building
Great location close to pier, high street and pubs. Friendly, helpful reception staff. Crisp, clean bedding and towels. While the bathroom was a bit dated it was spotlessly clean as was the room itself. Lovely views of the sea although a second chair would have been nice so we could both sit with a coffee and really enjoy it. Didn’t eat or drink in the hotel so can’t comment.
Having to leave so soon. Only having 2 sachets of coffee was limiting.
Clean, comfortable and great value
Needs renovation in parts. Little tired.
The receptionist who booked me in was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean and faced the sea. There was a bath, not just a shower, so it was a little luxury. There was plenty of room for the dogs.
The cost of each dog staying. £20 each is a lot and their accommodation was more expensive than mine.
Room was spacious clean and comfy great location
Very clean room with good bed linen
There was a very strong smell of weed in the hallways
Clean, staff friendly. Well positioned.
Convenient location. Very clean. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.
It was a bit cold in the corridors and breakfast room.
Price, comfy bed, breakfast was yummy and best eggs ever, friendly helpful staff
Nothing really. It's not the Ritz but I'm a fussy so n so and I've already enquired about staying again ☺️
Great value for money. Best budget room in Eastbourne. Very clean
The weather was terrible (not the hotels fault) but the room could have been a little bit warmer.
The outstanding staff, the amazing breakfast and the location.
Nothing, but I would like breakfast to be served a little later.
We have been using the Shore View for many years for overnight stays in Eastbourne. We feel very comfortable there. It has everything we need. Over the last few months the owners have been redecorating and modernising the rooms and it is great. A lovely family hotel.
All is great
Nice room clean breakfast fantastic
Very clean, friendly great breakfast and great location
Everything
Lovely staff at breakfast!!! & sufficient enough food especially for price paid…The reception staff are so helpful & the girls that service the rooms do a great job thank you …We love where the hotel is situated & always jump on the bus to Brighton or Hastings as bus stops so near by & close to the good ice cream shop & we also love walking along the sea front.
Beds need to have stopper on the wheels as they move when you sitting up…Check windows for draughts…
