Pros +
- This is te third time staying at the Imperial and the staff are friendly and obliging Our apartment was clean and comfortable
- Breakfast great value. Staff very helpful
- Position of the hotel was great. Staff work very hard and are so helpful and friendly. The receptionist and the bar staff in particular. Frontage and public areas well maintained. Room was very dated and beds so uncomfortable. Very small lift. Lots of elderly with mobility issues and equipment which clearly had difficulty getting into said lift.
Cons -
- Unfortunately there was a small problem with the heating in our flat which was rectified.
- Limited time, but understand the reason. Also didn’t like teapot already on table before arriving for breakfast. Personal preference as I like hot, weak tea which was provided on request.
- Poor and dated room but for the price what do you expect. It was clean and warm. Beds need replacing.

Close to every thing
The only thing I dint like was the window dint open enough it was hot in the room and the bed was hard could of been softer and the shower could of been put on a hook to have a proper shower we had to hold it
The staff was so nice to my family
There is no water in the bedroom unless you want to drink from the sink loads of dust half the tv channels didn't work
Staff knowledgeable and friendly - Bar staff at function room downstairs great with guests and really are part of the whole package
Eggs not that great at breakfast
The room was quiet & the staff remained cheerful, polite & sympathetic in their well-rehearsed & much used apologies for some management policies - especially to guests staying on their own & not in an economy coach party ....They also kindly warned me in advance the evening meal was a minimal & basic menu for the coach party people who were mainly infirm & not mobile - so I had the chance to reserve a table at a nearby restaurant of quality well in advance to avoid disappointment.
They describe themselves as a "Coaching Hotel", specialising in what seemed to be basic budget facilities. This was not made clear on their Booking.com entry - or I would have stayed elsewhere.I asked for Earl Grey tea bags for the room & was told I would have to pay the full restaurant price for each bag !They did admit they rarely have rooms empty for individual travellers - hence many individual travellers would find this below the standard they might expect. Thus it should be made more clear. There is no wi-fi in the rooms only in the common areas & it was not connecting. It was cold but they say the heating is never on in the summer however cold which is unfortunatel because the coach trips seem to cater for elderly & very infirm clients.
Nice hotel in a good location. Well-equipped flat with all mod cons. Nicely decorated rooms. Nice day bed that I actually slept on. Very spacious flat - would accommodate a couple with a child or two.
It was too hot and not possible to open the windows. There were no curtains (only blinds), so couldn't get complete privacy and darkness that I prefer. There was no sofa - and the comfy seats were not that comfy. Also the TV hangs far too high on the wall for comfortable viewing.
Good apartment/flat at the hotelFriendly, professional staffGood evening entertainment with bar
The bed quilt was too small
Lovely clean room. Kettle, mugs, tea and coffee particularly welcome.Large spacious dining room.Friendly staff.
The entertainment room was on the lower ground floor/basement and it did get rather hot as it was very busy.
Room was clean and close to the beach
I paid an additional price for an extra bed for child which was extremely uncomfortable and she had to shift to our bed which made it extremely difficult for us.
Location was perfect. It was 1 minute walk to the sea.
Rude personel at the reception, abusive approaching my wife and my kids where there as well.Wrong information given by 2 different people from the hotel, causing us a parkingticket. Didnt want to support in any matter.Room had no aircon, so be aware the appartment is very warm during the summer. The bathroom had pipes inside that where burning hot, adding more heath to the already hot rooms. The beds where a bit hard for our taste, even left with a sore back. And the hotel and/or area is mostly full of elderly people, it did not bother us, but please be aware of that.
The location
The attitude of the rude staff. The room had no shower. The ceiling was damaged. The room was unclean. The access for wheelchair was non existent.
Excellent location for the bandstand….we were playing there for a week. Very spacious apartment and very helpful friendly staff in the hotel.
No openable windows, bar one … which then couldn’t be closed because the handle was broken. Kitchen had a good range of electronics, but otherwise rather under equipped, we needed to ask for mugs and a teapot.
comfortable beds, location, excellent breakfast 7 service
really traditional hotel with features the old lift and revolving door it has good facilities with a lounge 3 bars restaurant evening entertainment bingo quiz and visiting cabaret rooms are a giood size and very good power shower.very clean and well maintained.
Very good
We weren't informed that parking had to be paid. When we left we found a parking ticket on our windscreen. Next time, please inform your guests!
Property was very close to everything, evening entertainment was very good. Room was basic but clean and comfy. Joseph at the bar was very friendly and welcoming.
Missed breakfast as wasn't mentioned that it was included in the price we paid so checked out without it. I didn't realise until we got home.
Staff were warm and welcoming
Easy commute to town Center and pier
Very poor
Shower was cold and told they had a leak so no showers on the 4th floor, woken up by housekeeping at 8:15 entering our room and no staff to deal with queries and when I tried got told there was nothing they could do.
