Room was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was top drawer

Property was lovely and clean and had all facilities that you needed. In walking distance to shops and restaurants with close-by parking

Cleanliness. Many surfaces left not dusted. Hair in toilet, bedding.

This hotel is one of my favourites in the UK, the decor, location and staff are 10/10 - my home away from home in Bournemouth

Modern, good location

We booked and paid for the breakfast-included option, and the breakfast itself was really lovely. However, we were a little surprised to find that tea and coffee were not included and had to be paid for separately, which wasn’t mentioned during the booking process.

Gorgeous bedroom, with an extremely comfy bed. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Parking was straightforward also.

No elevator, not good for those with mobility issues. Too hot in the bedroom, no way of regulating the heat , even hot with window open.The bathroom door is very difficult to operate....

Modern, european style hotel. Very clean and comfortable. View from our room was amazing and the provided binoculars were a great touch. Breakfast was lovely very high quality produce.

Hotel lacked warmth and ambience. Only one member of staff present who seemed to be running everything… bar, reception etc. Would have benefited from some music playing in bar area and the fire lit to give it more warmth (too sterile) - we may have sat down and had a drink at the bar if it felt more inviting. Lots of stairs to our room (no lift). Room lacked extra touches - tea tray was very sparse… no milk supplied so couldn’t have tea etc and no biscuits.

The Port hotel was so chic & stylish & exceptionally clean & well maintained. The location was perfect & the sea view from our room was definitely worth the extra cost. We also loved the reception area with the welcoming fire & cosy comfortable seating which was a welcome surprise when we arrived on a cold wet early January day.

We wanted a bolt hole for New Year’s Eve. This was perfect. It’s been really tastefully done up, with a lot of attention to detail, which is quite rare for an Eastbourne hotel. The colour scheme is really elegant and all the materials used are high quality. There’s a coffee machine and a fridge in each room and a big TV if you want it. The shower was amazing. The guy on reception was really welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty.

Nothing significant. The bed in our room was described as large, which was a bit of a stretch. I’m 6ft 3 and we found it a bit cramped. We were trying to keep the costs down a bit so went for a cabin room. The view out of the window was basically of a wall, so if we went again we would probably splash out on a room with a sea view and a bigger bed. That being said, it was still a lovely cosy room and we had breakfast downstairs in the beautifully decorated lounge looking out over the sea, which was great. We weren’t expecting to find anything this good for an overnight escape so we were very pleased. Would definitely stay again.

I liked everything, I will say a word of warning about the stairs, but you are informed of this when booking.
