Location is excellent, room and club were super clean, staff though limited in number were polite and efficient! No real complaints at all, and looking to return.

Nothing really worthy of complaint as such but things that could improve the experience-parking non meter is quite a walk away, offer of food/snacks/meals would be nicerelocate single (cheapest) rooms to front of hotel with harbour views please !!!!!!! ha ha.

    Position building and ambience/ history

Loose curtain ? Loud music, broken shower door

Very central. Easy directions to access the property out of hours, as I was arriving late (very late as it happened, due to train delays checked in 1am!)Safe for me an intrepid solo traveller with my pushbike, that I ended up locking in the yacht club the first night. Found an outdoor area that felt safe for the second night. Lovely selection of teas and coffees.Shower was superb and bed very comfy. So much history in this building and the view over the harbour was a bonus.

The room is great location, very central and nice views of the harbour in the club house bar. The staff were very helpful, from the communication before arriving to when we were there. Bailey went out of his way to help us find where to go for the evening, giving recommendations and even telling us about nearby blues festival so great to have the local knowledge. Room was very comfortable. Found reasonable parking about 10min walk away too.

The shower didn't work very well - it was very hot and was unable to get the cold to work on it. I think that just needs a fix and we were only there for 1 night so it wasn't a huge problem. But if there for longer would have needed to ask them to look at it. Otherwise it was all great.

This is the second time that I have stayed at the RTYC. I was in Ramsgate for the Broadstairs Blues Bash so the value for money aspect as well as the position close to the Thanet Loop bus stop (which also provides access to Margate) made this a great choice. Although no meals are available - there are loads of restaurants and cafes a few minutes walk away. This includes a Weatherspoons as well as lots of independents too. The club are is available - and the terrace looks out over the harbour. All the staff we very friendly and helpful.

    I have no complaints!

The cleanliness and comfort were superb! Just what I needed for a quick visit to Ramsgate.

    Wifi didn't work quite well.

Location, views, charm, and boating associations

Breakfast would have been nice but I can understand why they don’t offer it.

    9JillPosted on: 1-4-2025

The room was cozy and warm with fabulous views of the harbour. The beds were comfy and the bathroom adequate. There was a shared fridge, cutlery and crockery for guests use. Easy check in as we had paid in advance and were sent codes by email. We met some of the very friendly staff and were treated to firework at midnight on New Year.

There were a lot of stairs but we were aware of this.

    9LouisePosted on: 12-22-2024

Excellent location with a gorgeous view of the harbour, close to the seafront and several great restaurants.

There was nothing we didn't like.

    9JanicePosted on: 12-17-2024

Room and view very good.Location good. Not suitable for a wheelchair user as room on 2nd floor but managed on stairs, a further extension to handrail on 2nd floor would have been useful.Overall a very pleasant stay and would definitely return.

Fabulous room with a view of the harbour. The Whole building was steeped in history & a memorable evening

    8BrianPosted on: 12-9-2024

Weird and quirky hotel, but the location near the shore and marina was excellent.

Some of the rooms only have a view of the alley, but the view from just outside of the hotel was phenomenal.

    7AlexandraPosted on: 11-14-2024

the staff is very helpful & frlendly, location is good, rooms are clean

The TV did not work, the room was cold on arrival { as the radiator valve was not opened), eletrical point for charging the mobile phone was difficult to reach (too few sockets), the table lamp was not strong enough/lampshade obstructed the light for reading. The booking.com price of the room for the weekend (£90?) is too high for sharing the Wc and the shower room and climbing the stairs.

    8SarahPosted on: 11-10-2024

Great location overlooking the harbour. Room was very comfortable and super clean. Great cafe for breakfast just in front of hotel and lovely italian restaurant too. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
