    Pros +

    • Lovey little hotel, very close to the seaside. Super friendly and helpful staff, really nice continental breakfast and great rooms!
    • The pub/cafe/hotel is extremely comfortably and cosy and surprisingly spacious! It’s a lovely building and the rooms are very comfortable to stay in.
    • Everything was fabulous. Beautifully decorated with art and prints. Lovely room, good food, great atmosphere and near to the sea. Can’t fault it at all.

    Cons -

    • On one occasion our code to enter the front door wasn’t working so we had to call a member of staff to help us to get in, so this is slightly inconvenient if or when it may not work. But otherwise it’s a useful system to have.
    • Nothing we didn’t like
    • The pub itself is only open Fri-Sun, so wasn't actually open during my stay, which was a shame as it would have been nice to have had a meal or a drink there, but on the plus side it was very quiet. It also meant there were no staff there in the evening, but emergency contact numbers were given, so I'm sure if any problem had arisen it would have been easily sorted.

My room was clean, nicely decorated and well thought-out with everything you could need (there were also refills of coffee, tea, shampoo etc. downstairs if you ran out of anything.) There's also a gorgeous communal sitting room. The included breakfast was a good selection of cereals, fruit, toast with butter and jam, croissant and a couple of meats. You could also pre-order a cooked breakfast at extra charge if you wanted. All the staff I met were really friendly and the waitress at breakfast remembered I needed oat milk without me having to ask, which was nice. It's on a quiet street with a few unusual shops, a couple of other bars and a corner shop directly opposite if you need any snacks. Just a couple of minutes walk to the seafront and a little further to the town centre.

The pub itself is only open Fri-Sun, so wasn't actually open during my stay, which was a shame as it would have been nice to have had a meal or a drink there, but on the plus side it was very quiet. Small and very clean and comfortable

Beautiful well appointed room with everything we needed and quality bedding and fittings. Plenty of tea coffee water etc and shampoo etc

Breakfast - croissant and sourdough toast good - meat and cheese selection very sad and had to pay for an additional cup of coffee although the breakfast advertised in our room promised a ‘hot pot of coffee or tea’. Lack of any atmosphere in dining room.

Loved the dog friendly room with outside area

    More hanging space

The room, whilst basically furnished was clean and comfortable. The standard of the shower room was much higher than expected. For the price I paid, this quirky little stayover was a real bargain.

It was a little cold at night but not really surprising as it was January when I stayed. There is no parking but I managed to unload outside and then park just one street away.

It had such a lovely welcoming homely vibe. Lovely people. The room was furnished nicely with antiques - imo there’s no excuse to do this these days but so few places do. Just very nicely done. The Waterloo room offers such a nice place to relax and I enjoyed this very much. Thank you for a fabulous overnight stay.

I would have like some extra cushions - but really, as it was just me, this wasn’t an issue as I had two pillows ! It would be nice to see refillable toiletries. But these are tiny things.

Very good value for money. Close to town and seafront. Comfortable bed and clean room.

For me not a problem but the stairs are very steep

Big room, helpful staff , nice Continental breakfast ..

No storage and only one chair in bedroom, no parking near to hotel

Quiet comfortable room. Need a few hanging hooks for coats. Not enough room in the cute wardrobe. Shower hot and powerful but again no where to hang wet towels.Breakfast was fresh and perfectly nice.

The location is perfect and the bar area is a really nice environment to have breakfast in. The staff were all lovely and really helpful. We were put in the dog friendly room with a door to the garden, which was great for our husky. The bed was very comfy and we liked the ease of keyless entry.

We actually moved the bed 90 degrees so we could see the TV so layout in the room could be better! Extra toiletries, towels and water were brought to the room during our stay (we were there for five nights) but the used cups etc weren't taken away which I thought was odd!

We always choose to stay at the Falstaff when visiting Ramsgate as it is in a great location and is a lovely old building which had been very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated

We stayed in room 3 for the first time and the landing light which is triggered by movement was very sensitive and came on continuously when I turned or moved in bed. There were gaps in the door and the light flooded through which kept me awake. Next time we will choose another room.
