Pros +
- The bar area was pleasant
- It was clean and convenient. Very polite and friendly staff.
- Was a great location and clean. WiFi worked fine in room 7
Cons -
- The shower didn¿t work so had to have cold showers. I picked the hotel primarily because it advertised parking. When I arrived and asked where the car park was I was told I had to take pot luck in the nearby roads.
- Although its free parking around on the streets, as the hotel doesn't have its own parking, you've got to take a chance.
- One of the mattresses was really uncomfortable could do with a new one

Excellent location with a bus stop right out front. I was visiting a friend in the area and needed something close by. This is a great little pub with rooms to rent. Everyone who works here is very friendly, the service is excellent. The rooms are not much, but they are a great value for the money and very very clean! Things are pretty dated and could use some updating, but the room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed.
The furniture is a little outdated, but that does not really matter to me. Everything was clean and worked properly. Beds were comfortable.
Nice location and clean room. People were very helpfull
The location of this hotel was very good. It was very near to the amenities and the beach, and happened to be within easy walking distance of my friend’s apartment, which was the main thing of importance to me, on this occasion. It isn’t situated right on the seafront, but this didn’t matter. It was still in a very nice location and you didn’t have to walk far to get to the beach. The bar was very friendly and a comfortable place to have an evening drink. Dogs were clearly made welcome, and I love dogs. I find that it’s easy to strike up a conversation with people when they have a lovely, well-behaved dog with them. Although I travelled on my own, I got talking to people at the bar and soon felt at home. The staff were pleasant and helpful. An example: A young woman who worked at the hotel, carried my heavy suitcase up several flights of stairs, to my room.My bedroom had a nice view from the window, and felt homely and very pleasant.
There wasn’t really anything I personally disliked. I did notice however, that the interior decor looked tired and dated. The exterior looked much more impressive and looked like it had had a fresh lick of paint recently. I also noticed a dripping tap in the bathroom wash-basin and the bath. Neither could be stopped, as the taps couldn’t be tightened any further. The tv remote control didn’t seem to be working. I don’t really watch tv when I’m on holiday though, so it didn’t worry me.It would have been nice to have some biscuits in the room, but I was happy with tea, coffee and milk.De-caff would have been good as a choice. I like a de-caff at night.
A great stay in this ideal pub. All the staff were helpful and friendly and had a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.
Good value, easy to get in and out through direct door to street
A bit noisy in the day but fine at night
That we weren't going to be staying long.Decent shower.
The room is basic and in the basement and needs maintenance. The walls are paper thin, the furniture is broken, the curtains are not hung properly so you can't close them, the beds are uncomfortable and you can hear the people in the next room with great clarity. You can hear the next room taking a bath. Being woken up at 5am on the first morning after a long drive was excruciating and the couple who were making enough noise to wake hades weren't bothered that they had woken other people up,even after being advised of the fact. Thank God this was only a short visit because we were then woken at 6am by a family who had taken over the couples' room, the child got louder and louder until we resigned ourselves to getting up and moving on. This is, without a doubt, one of the worst places I have had the misfortune to stay at. The price is not worth the lack of sleep and noise, and we won't be returning. Not as described on booking.com, totally inaccurate.
Great location. friendly staff
Room was quite small, but you get what yo pay for
location was fine. Staff very helpful.Room was clean.Nice to have a separate entrance so I didn't have to go through the bar.No shortage of teabags!
Light! Either a stronger bulb but actually it would have been nice to have a light by the bed rather than one central one.
Good stay overall, they were able to amend the date of my stay at short notice when I booked the wrong day & were helpful with this . Room did the job & was a fair price.Pub area is really good
Room needs a bit of TLC, window didn't close properly & some other small bits to fix up, but nothing major
Comfortable if dated room, we had twin beds one of which was very comfortable sadly the other wasn’t and should be updated. It was easy to find street parking which was very useful .The location was good for us, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good price for our requirements.
Very good value for money. However you get what you pay for. It was ok for a weekend.
We were on the top floor and there were a lot of steep stairs. I wouldn't have wanted to take heavy cases up them. The only place to do my makeup was in the bathroom, but the lighting was poor. It's rather dated and only single beds
Location was perfect in a nice part of ramsgate by a bus stop and co-op. Staff/owner were nice too and price of room was very reasonable
Can’t find any faults for the price we paid
Excellent location for all of the local sites. They don't do food but there is a cafe, Chinese, kebab, Co-op and other local stores within walking distance.
We were in Room 2 which is below the pub drinking area. There is quite a steep staircase to the room if walking from inside the pub. Our room was unfortunately directly under the pool room. The noise was very loud. (Imagine the noise of pool balls dropping into the table at any given moment). This wouldn't necessarily be a problem if it was just my wife and I but we were travelling with our 3 and 4 year old. The noise woke us all up at different times in the evening. Apart from that it was a most enjoyable stay and I would stay here again when factoring in the low cost.
The room was clean and quite spacious, bed was comfy, very pleased with everything
Such a warm welcome on arrival
Bit dated but value for money. Unfortunately we didn’t have a remote for tv so couldn’t watch tvKind man went out & got a new remote
Great location, part of a pub so lovely afternoon or evenings after a great day out spent in the bar. Friendly welcoming staff, cheap but suits the condition of the rooms which are dated but it was clean & suited us & was exactly what we were after. Was our 2nd visit. We stayed this time for 2 nights to see the new year in. Thoroughly enjoyed x
We were top floor & even though I’m not unfit the stairs killed me lol
Friendly staff. Short Walk to the harbour our 3 stay. We love Ramsgate
