    Pros +

    • Friendly, welcoming and kind staff.Very comfortable room.Excellent location for cliff top walking and beaches.
    • Great location for dog walks, hotel is also super friendly for dogs. Food, Bar and snug area was also great
    • Our room was lovely, it had everything we needed, the receptionist was super helpful and really lovely, especially at helping us settle in and rebooking for another stay. Dinner staff were fabulous, food was great too. Breakfast was lovely. The location is fantastic, we walked all along the coast and can’t wait to return next month, we will be bringing our dog next time as we had no idea the hotel was so dog friendly.

    Cons -

    • Nothing! Everything was to my liking.
    • A couple of bottles of drinking water in the room maybe . But not essential
    • Sadly there were quite a few things that let us down, starting with the comfort of the bed, we stayed in 402, the bed was not very comfy at all, the mattress was sunk on one side, the hot water took a very long time to get hot and the toilet was difficult to flush. I had to climb on a chair to close the curtains as the curtain rail was impossible to pull the curtains across. Also the quality of the toiletries was poor. The evening of the 16th when we arrived back from dinner we were informed that the hotel was being locked down as there were no night staff which meant it was guests only over night, we were advised there would be a number to call in an emergency, this made me feel very uneasy and also raised huge concerns in regards to fire safety ? The breakfast experience was also a let down, the 2 guys at breakfast were very much unhelpful and made you feel like a huge inconvenience, we had to ask for milk for our tea twice as this did not come with the tea as it should have, we had to ask for cutlery and butter just the normal things that should be readily available took a while for us to receive, sadly my breakfast was barely warm.I have stayed previously in 2020 and the experience was far more superior to this occasion, sadly I wouldn’t return after this stay. Such a shame

The location of the property is perfect, gorgeous views, the size of the rooms are good.

Breakfast lovely, staff lovely, rooms slightly worn but clean, location was amazing.

dinner was very disappointing. pizza was completely covered in BBQ sauce, not homemade so very sweet and hot. was listed but overwhelming. pizza was over cooked. pork belly was not soft and falling apart so not cooked for long enough, tasty but very underwhelming. just things that could be perfect if the menu was maybe not a generic one and cooked by a chef not just standard. we had to ask for a different room as 1st was really cold and air con machine was just pumping out cold air. staff lovely and gave us another room but must have known 1st room was not fit.

Lovely room with amazing views. Friendly staff, delicious food.

Thin walls/ floors allowing sound of other guests and TVs to be heard. Intermittent wifi connection.

    Location

No milk capsules in room for tea /coffee. Flask we got given went off quickly so couldn’t be used.

    10BrownPosted on: 2-11-2026

It's a traditional hotel. It provides little extras like biscuits and showe caps in the room and marmalade at breakfast.

    They didn't sell pink processco.

The location is beautiful overlooking the bay. We had a fabulous double aspect sea view room which made the most of the location. Our room was very comfortable and everything we needed was provided. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.

Nothing. We’ve stayed previously and would have no hesitation in staying again.

Spacious in both room and restaurant. Lovely sea views

    8AllanPosted on: 2-6-2026

Convenient for the purpose of our stay.

The double bed was short and small. Wine prices particularly expensive for the quality served.

    9MikePosted on: 2-2-2026

The accommodation at the price we paid was excellent value for money. We found the staff friendly and welcoming with good knowledge of the area.

The approach Road (gravelled area) was pitted with very large potholes.

    10NickyPosted on: 2-1-2026

Perfect location. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, with a Juliette balcony and a sea view. Free parking. Pub and restaurant downstairs so you didn’t have to go out to eat if you didn’t want to. The staff were all so lovely, attentive and friendly. Also I asked if we could check in early and this was possible without having to pay anything extra.

    Location

Didn't know that food was not being served other than breakfasts due to refurb of kitchen. Had to drive out to get evening dinner

    8VivPosted on: 1-28-2026

Cosy and comfortable even with wet wild windy weather outside! The staff all made us feel welcome and there’s a really relaxed atmosphere about the place. The room we had was large, light and airy with a good comfortable bed and lovely bathroom.

Large Room, very clean and fully equipped, coffee machine, teas, hot chocolate and water, even a little jar of sweets. Lovely sea view, fluffy towels and dressing gowns provided. Great cooked breakfast, cereals, fruit and toast.Parking available.

The Kitchen was being refurbished but we had a phone call at the time of booking to confirm we still wished to stay.
