The Monsell Hotel

The location and check in was smooth

Cleanliness could have been better

Great location, good parking, good value for money, comfy bed and warm room.Friendly staff

Close enough for town and seafront

Bed was very soft and uncomfortable

Very close to the beach, town and attractions.A 5 minute walk to all of the above. The hosts were a lovely couple.

Sadly, the room was very dirty, I had to clean all surfaces and then drawers and line them with paper towels before I could put our clothes in. The on suite shower room was grubby, leaking taps.Beds uncomfortable could feel the springs. Miss matched furniture. Kettle unusable I had to buy my own to make hot drinks.

Great staff clean and comfortable room shower instantly hot great location

Nothing to complain about

Good location a short walk to the clocktower.A double bed and single bed in the room.

The shower and toilet room is something that could do with improving, you can tell it's a cheaply done job, not a very clean room.

Very poor

Flat pillows on bed not possible to get comfortable cleaness need a complete redecorating our room was dated smallest towels ever no glass in bathroom for toothbrush and to rinse mouth sink cracked mold round inside and outside of shower cubicle Our bed had black tape all around holding base together Definitely not worth £75 a night i paid was robbed

It was in a gd location very comfy great night's sleep

The TV could of been a little bit bigger but it was fine for the 1 night

Nice clean and comfortable and a good breakfast

Very average.

Very dated,needs a refurbishment,bed and pillows uncomfortable,shower a joke,so small.

Nice hosts, friendly and helpful

A little dated, needs tidying up ie grout in bathroom

Don't go

What a joke. Bedroom stank of mould. Needs remodernisatuon. Very noisy through the night. Bedsheets dirty

The lady was very pleasant helped with luggage upstairs

We had some noises from people rooms

Breakfast was good

Ready for new carpets in the room & the single bed mattress springs were uncomfortable

Did not have breakfast

A shower that works properly Stale smell in room

Close to everything, free parking and WiFi , nice hosts, reasonable price

Bed was comfortable hotel and room clean

A little bit further out for us as roads back at night not well lit but that's not a fault of the hotell

Excellent breakfast which was good value. Location central for walking.

Double bed was small.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, always willing to go the extra mile for you. Breakfast was great, tasty and cooked very well. Location for the beach was fantastic as well as a short walk to the supermarkets. Free Parking and lovely little mini shop at reception.

Not the hotel's or staff's fault, I had chosen the wrong room type as I need twin beds not a double, the hotel were able to change the room as it was booked through booking.com, but booking.com advised to speak to the hotel staff, I was stuck in the middle with no resolution, so just had to suffer my daughters snoring and squirming for dominance of the bedding.

Order breakfast at the hotel the night before if you want it, was a very quiet hotel, and quiet place which was lovely if you dont want something lively and loud all night.
