Pros +
- The hotel is beautiful and set in a peaceful environment. The staff were lovely and had set a cot up for our baby and made sure we had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant and they were very accommodating to having a baby with us. The breakfast was great.
- Lovely house and location, big comfortable bed, heated bathroom floor and nice shower/bathroom area.
- Superb because of the quality produce usef
Cons -
- Expensive food, drink, very few vegetarian/vegan options for food. Loud wedding music through the night, even though we were on the 2nd floor. Very expensive considering what we got in return, we could have flown to Europe for a few days.
- Would have liked a bathrobe and slippers, seemed very tight on things like milk in the room and biscuits given the price paid
- Breakfast could of been a bit fresher on the second morning But plenty there to choose

Absolutely beautiful property!! We stayed in the cute separate cottage at the back of the property and it was fantastic! Quaint and quiet, we had a lovely stay. Perfectly equipped, had everything we needed for our stay!
Nothing, it was dark when we got there, so it was a little tricky to find our way in the dark, but it worked out!
The bed was comfortable. The bath was enormous. The fact that I could charge my car at the hotel at a good price.
The food in the restaurant was poor. The waiting time was unacceptable. The staff were indifferent. The bedroom looked tired.
Excellent service and the most adorable room in the courtyard. Very tranquil and gorgeous location. Our room was large and perfect. Really loved our stay.
Nothing… was perfect.
We absolutely loved it. The room was beautiful and very clean. The staff were fabulous and even brought milk and cookies to the room for my girls. We are looking to book again asap.
Nothing. Everything was lovely.
Excellent welcome and staff - good food
Bed not comfortable- pillows terrible
Great breakfast, incredible views from the restaurant in the morning, staff helpful. Room was just right for the price paid, slightly dated and windows would not stay open (broken sash mechanism). EV charging priced fairly at 39p a unit.
This is my second stay for work and it's a great stay and worth the short commute to Basingstoke. This time I was in a courtyard room, the room was lovely but I had an issue with the mattress. Spoke to reception in the morning and I was able to swap rooms and the issue was passed onto housekeeping. The new seasonal menu was out which is stunning
I had an issue with the mattress but the way it was dealt with was so easy that I don't count it as a negative.
Loved the service and cleanliness of the hotel. Rooms were a decent size too and gorgeous location.
Breakfast wasn't as expected for this standard of hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful
No heating in the first room we were given, but moved to a good one
Stunning location and building, very luxurious feel and food was high end.
The moosoon shower in my room temperature only had scolding or freezing!
Very pretty location and lovely grounds
Staff were miserable especially in the bar and restaurant. Everything was a chore and weren’t very helpful.Food was mediocre and expensive for what it was.
Pleasant wouldn’t rush back
Beautiful location, comfortable although 3rd bed was a put up, not so comfortable, bar was closed at 10pm, felt a bit isolated !
Gorgeous roomFriendly welcome
I thought I’d requested a child bed but got a Travelcot. As it happened the bed was huge so we all just slept in it and never mentioned it. I was very disappointed that the bar defaulted to double shots without asking/checking-is this a company policy?? Obviously it makes drinks more expensive but there are health consequences too, nevermind the legal ramifications if people are driving the next day and think they have drank less than they have
Room was large and food was excellent. Friendly welcome on arrival.
The architecture
Restaurant food, though staff tried to make things right.
Very beautiful property with comfortable rooms. Restaurant onsite was delicious.
