All the staff were helpful and friendly. A good size car park. Dining room and bar are a good size, plenty of tables of various heights and some very comfortable chairs. Wifi worked well, unlike some hotels. I enjoyed my evening dinner, good selection.

Our sink faucet sprayed us everytime we used it no matter how low we set the pressure. The tub/shower only flowed extremely hot water no matter how we tried to set it for cooler temperatures. This place needs some TLC. The staff seemed tired and stressed. And the food was either bland or greasy.

Breakfast was excellent… lots of good choices and they did the eggs exactly how I requested.

Everyone I interact with at the wheatsheaf is professional and courteous. It is reasonably priced but I do feel the rooms all need to be updated making it hard to say if it's truly value for money. I have no complaints about the overall presentation of the hotel. Maybe new carpets and bathrooms would be good?

Couldn't use the shower as Couldn't adjust the temperature absolutely scalding hot Tea and coffee in room not enough only 2 tea bags and 2 sugars.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, check in and out was easy and there was never a problem getting a table in the restaurant where the food was exceptional.

The hotel is a little too close to the A33 and the M3 / A303 junction, the traffic noise was a little excessive in the evening and first thing in the morning, the car park is used by the local school run parents to deliver and later collect their children from the school buses, which caused a problem if I arrived or left the car park at the wrong time.

Good food, great staff,value for money, ideal location for where I was visiting.

Lovely staff, very helpful and advised and assisted us on how we could have food delivered as the hotel kitchen was closed when we arrived. Clean and comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities available in the room. Easy to reach location with lots of free parking outside.

Staff friendly and helpful and room and beds comfortable. The heating had broken down when we got there but we were given a heater which kept our room warm

The bathroom was very tired, no handrail in the bath and no toilet roll holder. The toilet was very difficult to flush and we felt the standard of the bathroom was poor

By choice, I didn't have dinner or breakfast, so I cant comment on this aspect. The room was spacious and the 6' wide bed was a nice surprise. The staff were excellent.

Just wish that your booking process with Booking Com did not overlay your booking page as it ended up paying twice for a booking that cost ie£82 plus£82 =£164 with no response from booking .com
