Pros +
- Perfect parking and cozy rooms,Sharon was absolutely fantastic going above and beyond, sorted the reception whilst serving drinks and sorting breakfast also sorted our taxis out aswell !! A unbelievable member of staff
- Good food comfy bed
- Good for a short stayComfy and warmNice and quiet restaurant. Decent selection of meals. A plus that they ask you how to prepare your steak. Friendly staff (except the old gentleman who seems annoyed no matter what you ask him)
Cons -
- Everything was perfect
- Hair dryer not working water temp too hot in showers even on lowest setting
- Even if they knew a long time that I would be in still I had troubles with the cleanliness. Limescale and black gunk on shower head. Serratia (red gunk) and some mold on tiles. Bathroom towels had a red brick colour stain on it (hoping it's just make up and not blood). Carpet seen better days, probably needs a well deserved deep clean. Some of these resolved after reporting to reception. For long stays, not recommended. Very noisy, people seem not to respect sleeping hours very well. Of course this reflects everybody's education. 3 false fire alarms (one at 1:30am), reception in the morning seems very calm in responses when asking what happened. Received just a simple and neutral apology from the lady that seems to be from management. She seemed not happy when I told her to ask somebody to come and check/fix them. The restaurant was not always open and had to go to the pub to eat. Not pleasant, loud karaoke or people swearing and drinking excessively. Not suitable for a quiet dinner.

Friendly staffClean hotelNice breakfast
The bads are licke CONCRETE!!!
Quite and clean comfortable
Standard room, breakfast was delicious!
The rook was quite dusty with a mouldy bathroom. We were told breakfast would be in the building across the car park when we checked in. This was not the case which was quite annoying to be told something that just wasn’t true.
Staff excellent as always - we have stayed here many times whilst visiting friends in the area, booking is straightforward and any special requests we make are always met, very reassuring as my mobility is limited
Breakfast is a standard price, great if you require a large breakfast but because we only want cereal or toast in the morning it would be helpful if a small breakfast, or individual breakfast items, were offered individually priced
Beautiful room the view and walks was beautiful and the staff was very helpful and also helpful
Only thing what let me and my partner down was the signal cus of the WiFi
Nice hotel
Some very noisy person with the TV really loud had to go tell reception it was that loud couldn't hear my TV even at 20
the look of it
the sleep the bed was uncomfortable you can hear the next rooms
Beds. Nice reception.
Slightly bigger room. Staff to be there at breakfast at all time.
Pleasant surroundings. Tranquil. Good breakfast. Clean environment. Pleasant helpful staff. The Carvery opposite at Pastures Lounge.
No good if you haven't got your own transport as bus stops a long walk away. Taxis not particularly cheap. The Carvery only served vegetables for vegetarians although veg plentiful and tasty and there was vegetarian gravy but no Quorn dish or veggie pie which was a bit disappointing.
Easy to find. Plenty of parking space
Last time I stayed staff were exceptional. This time I thought person on duty for breakfast was a little surly.
Good choice, full English breakfast, staff attentive and efficient.
Massive problems due to road closure due to flooding. Diversion very poorly marked, despite having SAT NAV unable to navigate to hotel.
Nice property, good space and pub over the road with large variety of food choices and entertainment.
Shower was faulty and flooded the bathroom unto the room which already smelled damp so it had probably happened before.
Location was good. Hotel looked nice however, this day was not great. The bed was completely broken on both sides. The springs had gone in the mattress and needed replacing. Also next door was screaming and shouting to 1:30 in the morning which was not great.
The bed felt like it was 20 years old. The shower leaked water everywhere and the noise of the room next door which is not the hotel's fault as I did not complain as it did not want to make the issue worse.
Good place to stay and good value for money. Good range of breakfast items to satisfy everyone imho.
Could do with some rejuvenation in areas. Dark wood finish not good these days.
Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Staff very friendly and quick to ask if I needed help with my bags - I walk with a stick.Well cooked breakfast with friendly staff..
Pleasant building with welcoming interior. Staff on reception were helpful and friendly. Room a good size, and clean. Good range of refreshments.
I arrived when dark and signage from road not easy to see. You could easily drive by and not notice the turning. The wash basin in my room had a slight 'bad drain' smell when I ran the taps.
Its quite and accesible the staff are friendly
I cant say i didnt not like anything
