    Pros +

    • Nice room.
    • The bedrooms we a very good size, but the ensuite was very tight. Everything was very clean, and the staff were helpfull.
    • The room was massive and clean and the bed was very comfy. Excellent for the price. The shower was amazing. I would go back just for that. The food in the bar was amazing but a little pricey.

    Cons -

    • Telephone not working in room so no room service as advertised.
    • These are very minnor issues, but they only did a continental breakfast. And the room I was alocated was up 3 flights of stairs, (a long way when you are knackered at the end of the day). Minor points as I said.
    • There was no internet available on the customer wifi, this also meant several of the features on thw TV didnt work. The car park is also not in the locatin described. Its actually behind the nearby derby inn. Both are minor complaints. I would absolutley stay again.

    Room was spacious.

Wasnt told upon booking that the bar / restaurant was closed for the weekend until we got there. The hot tub bath couldnt be used as it had lots of black bits coming out of the jets into the bath.

    Location

The stains on the bedding. The heating not working. The fact that the room we was given was there old office (small) when the rest are big.. ut was freezing. Told the staff and they said "the radiators don't work in there because you don't need heating it's warm enough and that it might start working when people in other rooms switch there's on as it has to go round the whole heating system upstairs 1st. Which it didn't.

Lovely place to stay with spacious, modern and clear rooms. Lovely food and drink in a nice bar restaurant downstairs too.

Centre of town, good food, fab room, free parking, great Staff.

    Noisy customers in restaurant.

Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Despite being in the town centre and having a restaurant/bar within the hotel the room was quiet/we did not hear any outside noise. We are at the restaurant there and the food was delicious and generous portion sizes without being too much food. Reasonably priced for the quality /standard of the hotel.

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

Room was large and comfortable. No cooked breakfast available

No offer of a cooked breakfast

    10IanPosted on: 12-17-2025

Huge, clean, well decorated room for a bargain price (would have still been a bargain without my genius discount!)Lovely boutique style en-suite. Coffee / Tea making facilities with sink for washing up and a fridge with cold water provided were a nice touch. Town centre location is ideal for work Xmas party, easy walk home!!

Car park is small and a little remotely located for hotel, however Whittaker Street car park is free overnight and just out the back. Can charge your car there too if its electric!

    The facilities inn the bedroom.

The location on Dalton Road and the limited parking spaces.

    8RossPosted on: 12-7-2025

Very clean, fantastic food (try the pizzas), nice bar

    8TomPosted on: 12-6-2025

The room was brilliant the staff put paper petals out and a birthday card.

The spa bath leaked and was smoking thw carpet. I rang to notify the manager and he came up and said it was ok to use but didnt check anything so my partner didnt use thw spa bath. We had no toilet roll either and when we notified staff we where given a half roll

    8IanPosted on: 12-4-2025

Clean, well equipped & very comfortable

It was a very warm room, in winter

    10CallumPosted on: 12-1-2025

Stay at the property regularly. Rooms good, food and staff excellent!

    10TerryPosted on: 11-28-2025

In town location, great bar and food, and all the staff friendly and helpful.

    An elevator would be helpful.

    8RobPosted on: 11-23-2025

Large room with spa bath was really nice, also large bed was comfortable

There was a damp smell in the bathroom that was rather strong, also the spa bath is sitting on carpet which means any water that leaves it soaks in to the carpet

    9AmandaPosted on: 11-20-2025

Central locationExtremely clean and tidy roomImmaculate presentationWasn't expecting full kitchenette type area and the breakfast bar, so this was lovely

The 2nd window didn't open, wasn't a huge issue but would have preferred the one by the bed to open vs the other, but nothing to mark down on in anyway.

Location was perfect as we were going to a surprise party across the road at the derby inn.Bed was very comfy and decor was funky and gave us a laugh.

The room just needs repairing a bit, the fan was covered in rust, just looked awful in the corner of the room, the carpet is in bad condition, very thin, worn and you can see the carpet grippers, im glad i didnt stand on one.Doors were slamming all night, i didn't get more than an hours sleep and that's not good when i had to drive over 4 hours home the next day.woke up and the room was freezing, radiator was cold.
