The interior design was pretty.
The building was old and musty, lacking ventilation.
Room very grand. Comfortable, spacious.
To be honest, not a lot to criticise. It is a two star establishment establishment after all and for that, it really is pretty grand, especially for the price.
Food was very good. The bedroom alright
The bathroom was very Bad hot came out brown.
We had an evening meal and that was very nice. Breakfast was ok and the staff were very friendly.
We stayed in room 2, first night the toilet roll holder fell off the wall and there were tiny insects around the back of the toilet. Called for someone to clear the insects and that was done and was told the toilet roll holder would be fixed the first job in the morning but it wasn't done the full time we stayed there. On the second morning we turned on the hot tap and brown water came out after running the tap for 5 minutes the brown water cleared but the next morning it happened again. Told a member of staff and she said its because the plumbing pipes were old and just to run the hot water to clear it, well we had already done that. We have stayed at this hotel before and had no problems so decided to pay for this better room and it was disgusting. Also for this room the furniture was old, marked and needs a total upgrade. We were not happy at all.
Bed was comfy, the room was clean, and the overall feel was nice. Breakfast was amazing!!
It's not that I didn't like it, but the decor could do with updating.
fantastic home cooked food.
beds slightly bouncy and not very good shower.
Good breakfastClose to ST Ives and other places to see in CornwallVintage place to stay
A bit dated and this was unexpected
Food was excellent, dinner and breakfast.Exceeded expectations.Staff very friendly and accomodating.Pub was lively, and cosy.
Room was clean but could do with some updating.
Warm welcome and very well looked after. With my wife having a number of allergies the restaurant/kitchen staff could not have been more helpful.
It was an excellent location. It was a homely hotel with a myriad of different bars, eating places and music. It had a lovely vibe.
Our room was at the back and a little bit dark.
The staff were fine
The shower was a dribble the bed was too short and the pillows were very flimsy and Wi-Fi was only available in the bar not in the room which was on the top floor with no lift and I am 71
Nice old hotel, full of character. Our room was quiet, spacious and comfortable, with comfortable beds. Good location right in the Centre, perfect for SWCP-walkers. Great value for money, especially when compared to other Cornwall hotels.
Location was good for trains and buses to get around. Beach was quieter and unspoilt
Decor was a little outdated but keeping with the style/age of the building.
Location...bar...lots to look at
It's a bit dated

Dirty bedside tables, with fresh sticky drinks ringsExtremely hot room (it was a hot day and night), and windows did not openHot water tap did not deliver any water, let alone hotCold water tap only delivered a dribble
lovely breakfast and the staff were helpful and friendly
room definitely needs a refresh and the shower had lots of mould/black marks and a dirty ironing board. We stayed outside in the courtyard and had noisy neighbours! The bed was comfy but the fabric headboard was also very stained, this was a real shame as everything else was ok..the chef and his breakfasts were a highlight! Would stay again if the rooms were updated.
The Staff were fantastic helpful. The food served in the restaurant is lovely with a good plate of food. It’s ideally located for my business trip with a car park opposite with free parking after 16.00 and leave before 09.00am. I’d recommend anybody wanting somewhere to stay in Hayle use the White Hart Hotel
Location and Breakfast + Free Parking.Quirky fittings and pictures etc.
