    Pros +

    • Great, location right next to the train station and central Penzance. The breakfast was amazing and service was wonderful. The room was very clean and the building itself had a lot of charm. Staff was also very welcoming.
    • Excellent location: very close to train and bus stations and Laundrette across the street. Food was very nice in the restaurant/pub. Shared lounge with large window with a lovely view.
    • Convenient for bus/rail stations and town centre. Comfortable dining facilities all handled by friendly and efficient staff.

    Cons -

    • Room overlooked pub beer garden but otherwise no view. Plumbing issue in the bathroom was not completely resolved during our stay.
    • Slightly awkward stairs but otherwise ok.
    • The food could have been better but it may be that the menu is more fish and meat focused. I found the vegetarian option rather disappointing.

A step away from the train and bus stations. It’s also very well positioned for easy access to the town centre. The room was comfortable and clean. The pub offers evening meals.

Nice place to stay near the railway station, within a walking distance from the ferry terminal, and a long walk to St Michael's Mount. Comfortable, silent room with all the necessary amenities. Breakfast is really good and the staff is amazing.

A bit pricey, considering the end of the season

The location is perfect - right beside the train station. Food in the pub below is very good.

The room I was initially put in had some “issues.” TV did not work for the bulk of the time and the bed felt very worn in (it slanted to one side.) There was also a mildew smell in the bathroom. When notified of the issues, I was upgraded to a much better room with no issues. Many thanks to Ryan at the front desk for his amazing help and cheerful attitude!

Cute, clean & comfortable single room....the carpet downstairs and on the stairwell could do with replacement....but the bedsheets/towels and staff are well worth complimenting...plus it was a stone's throw from the railway station.....thank you ?

My first impression of the carpet was concerning, but the room was a great price nevertheless ?

Very clean room, staff very helpful and pleasant. Good choice for a breakfast buffet.Ideal location for railway station and town.

    Shower adequate, not very powerful.

Clean and convenient location. Good food and drink options

Bed was super soft and very uncomfortable. Decor is tired and worn. Needs renovation.

Location was excellent, right behind the train station (3 min walk to train), and bus station (for all local areas including Mousehole and Landsend). Ate at the restaurant all 3 nights. Room was large, warm, and quiet.

    No elevator.

Location near the train station as we had traveled from Montana, USA and then directly from Heathrow Airport via train to Penzance. The staff was welcoming to us and the pub had a fantastic Sunday roast that evening.

Superb central location close to harbour and station. Fine old building. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Pleasant room and comfortable bed. Very suitable for solo travellers.

Nothing - it was all fine.

We stayed for one night before our trip to the Scillies. Close to the train station and the harbour, the Longboat is ideally suited for anyone staying in town before or after a trip to the Scillies. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were really helpful, and we thought it was very good value for money. Breakfast was a fantastic deal and even catered to my vegan diet. Every aspect of our stay was great.

Easy check in and check out with very friendly staff

Would have preferred some choice of fruit for breakfast as I don't really eat cooked meats for breakfast

The staff were really nice and helpful, nothing to much trouble. Room 10 was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and evening meals were very good. My wife is Gluten Free and the staff checked the food was correct for her.The only slight downside was that the traffic was a little noisy at times. Penzance seems to have motor bikes and cars with very loud exhausts! Nothing to be done about that though. We would definitely stay there again, it was lovely.

As mentioned the traffic was a bit noisy, but it quietened down after about 2200 to 2230.

The very friendly welcome and excellent selection of beers.Location VERY close to the station. Delicious breakfast.

That we had such a short time in Penzance.

Ideally located for train connections. Tasty and ample breakfast. Welcoming staff.

    Some hallway noise.

The property is a short walk from the bus terminus and the train station. Great if you don’t drive. The high street is within walking distance also. The staff were fantastic.
