Welcoming staff
Room was dark and shabby, heating was turned off at night, couldn't open windows for some air!
This was the end of our Cornwall Walk so we wanted to treat ourselves to someplace awesome for our last night. The campus was really nice, a lot of activities and gardens to walk through. They had a bar onsite with a couple of restaurants, but we didn't eat at them. Breakfast was a buffet style and food was usual british breakfast food.
The building is really cool, but the rooms felt a little outdated. For the price that we paid, we expected a little more polish. Although comfortable, furniture and bed felt a little older, bathrooms felt outdated.
Checking out today
Damp and dirt in the bathroom, dirty carpets, walls thin enough to here next door watching TV, talking and even snoring. The doors slam so hard you can not sleep through people coming and going. The room did have a fan that could not be used at night because there are no sockets near the bed. Very over priced and under delivered, definitely will not be going back.
View of the sea and St Ives town
There were no intercom or telephone connection with the Front Desk in case of any urgent issue
Gorgeous building and view, loved the gardens and grounds. We stayed in a family room which was lovely having a complete 2nd bedroom for the kids
Our main TV didn’t work very well
Great view, away from the bustle and crowding of downtown St. Ives, decent restaurant. Nice gardens onsite.
No A/C, which would normally not be a problem but was a bit warm when we visited during a heat wave.
The location, views and beautiful garden setting is amazing.
The lights in the bathroom keep switching off during shower.
The location, grounds, proximity to St Ives, good food, swimming pool
The prices and the pricing model. Breakfast wasn't included - at these off-season (but very high) prices that is rather disappointing.A one-hour late check out was requested, but at £15 - in an empty hotel - this is disgraceful, and was a first for me in 40 years of UK and world travel. I'd like to stay again but these reasons - to get as much money out of me as possible - make me think twice about staying next time.
Desk staff was exceptional! The property beautiful.
Low water pressure. Breakfast was understaffed so very long lines to serve your own coffee.
Very clean and comfortable room. No view to enjoy but the rate I had was good.
Perhaps an improved view.

We had the most brilliant stay - absolutely delicious breakfast every morning, the hotel was clean and our room was very spacious! Staff were friendly and the grounds are just immaculate and so so beautiful
The swimming pool and changing rooms could have done with a little more of a clean, however I went late in the day so am sure this is only where people had already been in and out! Still fantastic
The location is perfect for a visit to the beach. There is a footpath that leads to the beach. It will get you there in 5-10minutes. Just be aware that the way back will test your leg muscles a bit (it is uphill)Breakfast was very good. Buffet with good options. The self-catering apartment was very clean with a simple modern finish.
The hotel, grounds , staff, and food was great
We paid for an upgrade to a room with a view but although the room was good and large it didn't have much of a view at all
PositionStaffGardenStructure in the nature, pool included Easy to get to saint Ives by foot
Beautiful place....absolutely stunning Russell met us at reception....amazing service...then Jeff...again amazing...and Debbie the housekeeper....was just great.Service here is old school....so it's excellent....all mature staff....so they know how to serve the public. You have to stay here when in st ives.
Nothing not to like
The grounds and facilities were really nice and so were the staff at the hotel.
We booked a flat that could accommodate 5 peopleBut the sofa bed was uncomfortable and felt unsafe to sleep on, which meant that one of us had to move the sofa bed mattress on the floor and sleep uncomfortably
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we loved every minute of our stay. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms set in beautifully kept gardens !!
Nothing to complain about !
