Convenient location next to major motorway and close to services.

Very basic. Doesn't provide an onsite breakfast - they give you a coupon to buy breakfast from the services nearby.

Location

Beetle crawling in room. Window lock totally broken. Road noise so loud. No soap in sink dispenser. No sleep with noise and beetles in room.

The staff

The bed are the most uncomfortable ever. The floor was more comfortable than the mattress

Clean and convenient . Staff are the best. Helpful and friendly.

Bathrooms could do with an update and a small bar area would be nice. Bring back breakfast boxes so you don’t have to go to services for everything. It’s a dangerous walk in the dark.

Carpets smelling and bathroom has no extractor fan. Air felt humid. Curtain in the bathroom not very comfortable as it may not be changed after use. Tissue box fell from the holder. Felt l needed a mop and some bleach to clean the bathroom as it did not smell fresh.

Excellent spacious bedroom with one double and one single bed, one window facing the woods, quiet at night time, well heated hotel. Paid car park but cheap (£5/day), plenty spaces available. Pleasant landscape views (green fields and wood). British breakfast in welcome break area the other side of street, my son loved it

To access the service area in M1 motorway where the hotel is located had to drive North and then re enter the motorway in South direction, so I made sure I took everything with me in the morning and only returned in the evening to spleep

Could not get any sound on the tv and there was no fan in the bathroom

Paying for parking when you’ve payed to stay the whole place could do with a spruce up paint hanging off place looks ruff

Bed was comfy

Bathroom was tired, old, scruffy, bath was scratched chipped, grout was grubby and going mouldy, very poor

Price wasn't too bad, although £5 parking charge because I didn't book direct was poor.Bed and pillows were good for the price.

Rooms are tired. The shower, although warm and relatively powerful, the head was hanging off the wall and it came up to my neck ! No usb charging points! It's supposed to be a business hotel. They're £10 for a double socket!

Bath hot water worked but couldn’t fathom how to get hot water from shower .Nothing against the property but it wasn’t clear on booking.com about the parking charge. Will certainly book via hotel next time

This is the second time we have stayed at Days Inn Hotel Sheffield South. I use this venue because it is great value for money, the staff are very accommodating and friendly and it is close to the Squash venue where we attend squash tournaments. The location is next to the M1, so it is convenient, and we have had an amazing sleep on both occasions. I am very pleased, thank you, and I will definitely book again!

Spacious room good value

Struggled to get to to work.

It's a budget hotel that could use a bit of upgrade, but everything was good. Bed was very comfy, clean sheets, hot shower with a strong pressure, very warm room, nice, friendly staff.

Room was a bit too warm, and there was no way to turn the radiator down (it requires a PIN number), so we just opened windows a bit.
