I didn't get to stay there as I booked a triple room for my self wife and child and was told it's only for 2 adults. And then they said there are no triple rooms. This was all discovered after the cancellation time We had to look elsewhere

The booking system

Room was clean & functional.Breakfast had a very full choice, was checked regularly for temperature & quantitiesCustomer service from staff was excellent!

Check in was fine and staff helpful, noted that the carpets were rather dirty in places, breakfast OK although there were no staff in the breakfast area to start with, it was a while before they came out from the kitchen to issue plates for the cooked breakfast.

Breakfast staff on duty weren't very attentive

We didn't get to stay at the ibis because they cancelled our room at 12 o'clock yesterday they said they were fully booked I told them I booked it a week ago I'm absolutely furious we were going down Rotherham for my nephews 18th. Don't think I'll be booking with you again.

No aircon or fan provided, so didn't sleep well as too noisy when window was left open

Looks nice from the outside. And close to amenities

Security following guests to their rooms for no reason other than judging them based on how they look. Poor cleaning as there was thick dust everywhere. The room was half painted so looked scruffy and dated. Not to mention it smells awful. An absolute flea pit.

the staff were amazing, really friendly and answered any questions we had. Although we did have to ask twice for extra pillows.

the room carpet was disgusting, stains on the carpet. The bathroom was dirty - built in grime and the floor was swimming in water after a shower. the bed was really uncomfortable and we were staying 2 nights :( Asked for extra pillows on our way out for the afternoon but had to ask again when we returned late evening. They were lumpy and uncomfortable too. Burnt my arm on the hot plate which was really super hot - the beans and scrambled eggs were burnt to the pots it was so hot. Bacon was burnt to a crisp. Pancakes were rock hard they'd been left out uncovered.

The stay would have been fine, but the staff (not the guests) were very loud (vocal and banging) early in the morning, which made the great late check out (12pm) time redundant, as we were constantly woken up after quite a late night. Not good, as the whole point was lay in and recouperate.

Location great for meeting next day but room smelt of stale smoke so member of staff gave it a spray as I didn’t want to move rooms. Disappointed with breakfast, usually plant based options but only normal yoghurt and butter so had dry toast and a few beans. You g lady thought yoghurt was vegan and when I checked it wasn’t - glad I asked her to check again! Pub nearby was good!!! The staff on reception when I booked in were great - apologetic about smelly room.
