The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable

The shower head leaked, the shower door didn't close properly so the bathroom fall got wet. The tv remote control was filthy

Quiet location. Generally clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful reception staff.

Room 117. The drawers in the chest of drawers kept sliding open and wouldn't stay shut as it appeared to be on a slant. No floor mat provided for the shower. The bathroom floor tiles need re grouting and a bulb was missing.

Staff were friendly, room was OK, breakfast was indifferent. No worse than other hotels in this price range, but that is a low bar!

But this hotel said it was close to Sheffield Arena. I should’ve done more research before booking as public transport links are practically non-existent. Taxis are few and far between when it shows on and the walk from Sheffield Arena is 45 minutes

Breakfast used to be better. Not a great breakfast. Stayed before so I can compare.

The hotel is conveniently located on the outskirts of the city with good parking.

It was a very last minute booking late at night owing to an unforseen change of plans. I felt sorry for the staff member who couldn't find the booking. The room was freezing but I understand they wouldnt heat room they expected to be empty and then I got a parking charge despite entering my vehicle details in the system. The hotel have been very good about sorting the parking charge but last minute bookings seem to present challenges.

The staff are really helpful and friendly. The bathroom was clean

The room was cold and although an additional heater was provided it didn't do much. The furniture is dated. The mattress was well used with some roll-together action going on. The shower was fairly weak.

Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast.issues with booked room - We were offered the chance to move after first night but we were only staying 2 nights so it seemed a lot of upheaval. We were given 4 drinks vouchers and staff were lovely.

We booked an accessible room with a walk in shower in August. Confirmed this by message in August describing the accessible needs. We then confirmed by phone the week of our stay. Upon arrival we were told no accessible rooms were available despite booking and confirming 5months previous and the week of our stay. My mum could not access the shower and as the room was not accessible she struggled in the bathroom as there were no handrails in the bathroom at all. Not at all accessible. We were only staying 2nights so had to accept the room. We were offered the chance to move after first night but we were only staying 2 nights so it seemed a lot of upheaval. We were given 4 drinks vouchers and staff were lovely but it's not really acceptable to not have the accessible room we booked available given we booked in August and had the room confirmed in August and again in Jan.Very disappointing. My mum had to struggled to use the facilities and as I say could not use the shower in the end .

Room was spacious and comfortable, beds were fairly comfy, lovely bathroom

It was unclear from website whether breakfast was available over xmas, location is convenient for motorway but being on an industrial estate the surrounding area is not very pretty and would feel a bit isolated walking there at night

The location is away from the city and not noisy at all. The staff are friendly and polite and professional. The cleaner was everyday so on time and helpful . The staff Ajo was quite helpful during the stay and at the restaurant.

The food isn’t value for money. Room service requires you to give five pounds extra for sending it to room which I think isn’t fair.

Comfortable room. Lovely hot shower (nice toiletries).

There was a slight gap around the window frame, so a little draught and road noise. I hope Mercure are informed of this.

Nice room, hotel easy to find.

Restaurant was shut the night we arrived so had to send out for food and eat in the room.
