    Pros +

    • The friendly, helpful staff & the great entertainment on Saturday & Sunday nights.
    • Staff were very helpful and accommodating as we needed an earlier breakfast due to work commitments
    • The accommodation was in the area I needed to be.

    Cons -

    • The room was quite small, especially the bathroom
    • Wasn't aware we had to pre book the parking and we tried to book dinner and they didn't have enough food for another two guests. So be aware pre book dinner and parking
    • The room was tired. Veneer on the bedside cabinet had been peeled away. The carpet between the bedroom and bathroom was frayed. The bedding and towels, although appeared clean had an awful odor. The sink in the bathroom was so big it prevented access to the toilet on the left and shower to the right. Blood staining on the paintwork inside the bathroom. The doorframe into the bathroom had a protruding nail. Very poor shower pressure.Slept on top of the bed with my jacket as a cover.

Very impressed indeed with this hotel. All the staff were not only professional but seemed genuinely happy to be part of a team who worked really well together from a exceptionally clean room to food that was very good indeed. The entertainment was really good and they even had a free quiz in addition. Have already booked another stay. Thank you to the staff who made it holiday even better.

Very Disappointed Booked Sea View Double Room. Room was Freezing. Staff put me off. As they are very Unfreindly.

Staff could be more friendly. And could make you feel. Welcomed

We didn't have meals in the hotel, the location was fine with shops, a cafe and a few good pubs nearby

The lift was a bit small, my wife struggled to get in with her mobility trolley, I didn't like the beers on offer except for Guinness, I don't drink lager and I don't like Boddington's bitter

    6MargaretPosted on: 10-18-2024

Staff were really lovely my daughter is in a wheelchair and couldn't fit wheelchair in lift so I couldn't get to my room so staff sorted me out an apartment which was suitable for my daughter

Not wheelchair accessible as stated staff said wasn't their fault, but it was due to booking .com advertising the hotel as wheelchair accessible when it wasn't

    It was clean

Breakfast isn't worth the price they charge hard mattresses had sleep on top of quilt help stop springs sticky in me it's to far away from everything unless you have a car cost me 25.00 get taxi to town & back when I rang before I booked was told it was close to tower and disabled access it's not small ramp to get in that's uneven and stones broken my mobility scooter went over and I fell of hurt myself 3 members of staff where stood talking another disabled man shouted to them help me get up they didn't a taxi driver got out and helped my son lift me up I reported it at reception they just said it's not a disabled friendly hotel even though there was lots of other disabled people there filled an accident report didn't even ask my name or how I was

    Staff food entertainment

Lift had a bad smell most communal areas were not the cleanest toilets were small and hard to manage

    8desPosted on: 7-26-2024

Close to trams and no steps to climb to get to the bar prices were fair

Would have preferred a teapot and coffee pot at breakfast instead of squeezing by tablets carrying hot cups

    6ColinPosted on: 7-20-2024

Entertainment was good And staff were very accommodating

Hotel a bit rough round the edges and dated but I also understand you get what you pay for

    5MccuePosted on: 7-16-2024

    Staff very friendly

Room was very small and far too hot. & tram fares are shocking far too expensive

    8LucidPosted on: 4-30-2024

Friendly reception on arrival. Excellent entertainment on our 1st night. Went out on the other nights.

I really didn't think the breakfast was worth £12.50. I definitely would not pay that again. Very small full English & poor options
