Room was dirty, stains on the carpet, crisp crumbs under the bed sheet, beds very uncomfortable, TV had no signal, continental breakfast questionable (stale)

The room was cold and there was a smell in the room coming from toilet

The check-in process was easy and fast. The beds were comfortable

Unfortunatly, the Tv didn't work, The lady on the reception did come to the room to have a look. But she wasn't able to fix the issue as the cables were all behid the tv.There was no hairdryer available in the hotel due to residents staying and not returning them. The windows in our room sisnt shout properly so we did have some noise from the street very early hours and the room was next to the lift so we could hear people coming up in the lift.

The staff were friendly and polite

The shower wasn't working and when we told the staff we were given a room we could shower in which was a great solution but in that room the water was cold.

I would like a full refund we could not check in and i was turned away 11.45 and the staff was so rude.

The rooms were far too hot and very small, the showers were tiny

Staff very friendly and check in with a nice welcoming smile. Nice clean bedding and comfy beds. Slightly over priced for the room quality.

The bathroom door didn't close so not very nice sharing with a friend when you need to be use the toilet. TV didn't work. Very tired decor, window frames had holes in them. Lift didn't work so 3 floor up narrow steps.

Good solid hotel for the price, en suite bathrooms and beds do what they're supposed to.

No handle on the bathroom door, fan was broken and the fire alarm goes off when they turn the toaster on for breakfast.other than that all good

The only good thing i can say is the staff are all very nice.The girl on reception was lovely, and the maintenence man was also very nice,

no proper bar,it says wonderful breakfast on b.com its far from that, no cooked breakfast, all areas from front door in needs a good clean, dirty chairs to sit on, lift filthy,room needed a good clean ,dirty shower and wc,corador up stairs needs good hover and carpet clean, also bags of rubbish left outside doors where quests have left,plenty of thick dust everywhere,this hotel reads the reviews so why not do something about the issues, would not stay here again if it was free of charge

Clean and cheap

Someone was smoking in next room for one of the nights and was a very strong smell of cigarettes, they were also talking loudly at night so had trouble getting to sleep. Rest of other nights was lovely and quiet.

Nothing. The hotel cancelled the booking. This happened las year also.

I booked the Royal Alexandra Hotel through booking.com and prior to my departure I was advised that the hotel would not be open and I was offered an alternative over a mile away on a take it or leave it basis. I had booked with this hotel last year and was advised that they would not be open but was offered the hotel next door which was fine. this year the hotel offered being further away meant that I had to purchase a travel pass to commute from the hotel to where I wanted to be. I will never book the Royal Alexandra again and now have doubts about using Booking.com again in the light of my experience in the last two years

The breakfast was great.

Room was cramped. Shower was freezing. (Complained several times to no avail). Receptionist stunk of b o. No bar (was promised last year it would be open as last year it was closed for refurbishment), 5 years on the trot 12 of us have been using this hotel and it has rapidly went downhill over the last two years. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

How close it was to tower, an value for money

A few hairs in the bathroom, looking out ov the window smelt ov pigeon poo so kept the window shut

Holes in the walls, room not clean, milk for drinks in our room was out of date the cups provided wasn’t clean, our friends room the shower was broken.

Room was comfortable and I had been upgraded to a double room, which was a pleasant surprise. Staff were very helpful and answered any queries I had. Didn't mind when I locked my key in my room.

Could do with some upgrading, but after covid I guess thats a hard thing to do in the current climate. This is perhaps being a little "picky".
