- Very comfortable room, very friendly and professional staff, great location
- Very central hotel that was close to the Winter Gardens. Very clean and well equipped room. Air conditioning unit and fan which were very useful as the room was very hot. Comfortable bed Excellent breakfast. All staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons -
- This was by far the worst stay I’ve ever experienced, despite having traveled and stayed in many places around the world. This property barely qualifies as a 1-star hotel. The rooms were unbearably hot and humid, like a sauna, even with the fan running or the small window open. Strangely, the weather outside was pleasant, yet inside the rooms it felt suffocating. The drastic temperature difference between the hot rooms and the cooler reception/outside area even made me sick. The only reason I stayed was because the UDO team was booked here and my payment was non-refundable. Otherwise, I would have left immediately. I strongly do not recommend this hotel.
- We tried to check out at 9.30am but there was nobody on reception so just had to leave key card on reception. The room was fine for a one night theatre trip but it didn't live up to the pics on the site. Not suitable for longer stays
- only 1 lift had to wait a while for it and the mattresses were too soft for my liking

food and entertainment absolutely fantastic ?
only 1 lift had to wait a while for it and the mattresses were too soft for my liking
Entertainment, food, cleanliness, staff
Rooms were roasting and very small, fans provided but didn’t really help. Car parking at £20 too high
Nice front of house staff
Sink in bedroom. Very small room. Very difficult to wash using sink as the tap flow channel was broken half way at the top and when on full, it was spilling over bowl onto carpet. Shower was tiny. Everything just too cramped.
Staff was so friendly Entertainment staff out of this world Sheila Diamond the singer oh my word amazing. Aaron singer also fab
The staff were all very friendly right from the minute you stepped in the door. Entertainment 2 acts compere and bingo every night. Room was comfortable. Couldn't fault the place.
Location and secure parking..
How small the room and ensuite were.. im not a big person so feel a bigger person would struggle in the rooms
Cleanliness, entertainment, breakfast very nice
Rooms were far too hot even with the fan supplied and very smallParking charge of £20 excessive
Bar service and general layout of reception
Complicated answers to questions at reception no view from room 312 window Exceptionally high charges to go from room only to all inclusive.
First time here at the Ruskin Hotel. Came with my Brother and sister in law, plus there disabled grandchild. Nothing was too much trouble for them. All our needs were met with exceptional service. Food was amazing, and the entertainment was the best. Especially CeeCee Monsoon. I shall recommend this place to all I know, and I shall definitely be back here soon. Thanks to all the staff .
Good location and very clean
Had an older smaller room this time around rather than a newer room slight larger
The food was very tasty and good value for money. Staff are very friendly. Hotel very clean.
Room was small and a bit cramped. More for a single room and not a double.
Rooms were good standard, entertainment fantastic, breakfast was included and good standard, staff helful.
Parking is not good around this hotel.
Room Bed Food Location entertainment
Unfortunately on the second night before we came home I became unwell at 2 30 am violently sick until leaving early refusing breakfastI was still unwell until the following week..
Very welcoming, clean. All staff friendly entertainment brilliant
Too hot
Very clean and tidy friendly staff first time I stayed at this hotel would stay there again
Staff are fab and friendly
Room was a club room but was small and cramped. I had booked a double Premier room but I didn't feel it was.
Breakfast was lovely, the room was tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. The staff were chatty and friendly and acknowledged us. The spa treatments we had were amazing
There was nothing we didn't like. But of a pain having to wait for the lift buy that can't be helped
