- Great hospitality, nice hotel, clean, lots af American themed games, great location near tower
- Everything was perfect! We decided last minute we were going to Blackpool and staying over. We found The King Cross Hotel for a brilliant price for 2 adults and 3 children last minute. Honestly there is nothing we can complain about and will definitely be back for more than one night next time so we can enjoy the hotel properly, they have their own bar, arcade games and even have their own burger business onsite that you can order from! We cant wait to come back!
- Great hotel in an excellent location. Walking distance to all amenties which my 6 year old managed fine each day without complaining once. The owner Connor was lovely and went the extra mile to makesure my sons who have dietary requirements were catered for and met their needs accordingly by checking the ingredients and writing down what they could have. He even lit my sons cake and cut it up for us to eat in his dining area as it was his birthday. Great family hotel with the added bonus of a games room for the kids and netflix in the rooms. We highly recommend this hotel and will definately be returning in the future.
Cons -
- Beds were bit small, room was bit small
- No chair or hot drinks facilities in the room.
- Despite the heating being on full, the room was a little chilly and the bed wasn’t the comfiest - also very squeaky! There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room (although we were advised of this before arrival). Facilities are available downstairs at an extra cost. Parking was charged at £12 per day which seems a little steep - I paid £8 per day at another hotel in Blackpool a few months ago. There is room for 4 cars (if you don’t mind potentially being blocked in) so if taking a car I would recommend booking parking in advance as there are 19 rooms in the hotel. The room did look a little tired but it’s worth noting that the hotel is under refurbishment.I was charged a £3 non refundable deposit which I wasn’t aware of (I thought parking was £13 a day however on reading more information I realise now it was a deposit). I wasn’t given the option of paying the £30 refundable deposit which I have just read in the terms and conditions. Not a big deal it’s only £3 but just worth being aware of. It wasn’t in any of the communication I had with the hotel prior to my stay or on arrival.

The location was great, it seemed like a fairly quiet street but a short distance to get to the attractions we had booked. The staff member on site was brilliant - he was really friendly and helpful. The WiFi was free to use and worked well throughout the building. The food was really good, we had an evening meal and a breakfast during our stay and really enjoyed both.

The bar area was amazing, room was just what you needed and the food was delish. To top it off the staff were amazing. Will be booking again soon.
Nothing is was great. I just had the room that hadn’t yet been refurbished.
Connor was a fab host, made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The hotel is clean and smelt fresh, the facilities were great and we would stay again but possibly in a bigger room, have already recommended to my mum who is thinking of booking in soon too! Thank you for a lovely stay!
The bed was not the best, quite small and the spring mattress was not comfy, we would stay again but hopefully in a different room
What a find !! Fab hotel in just the perfect location for all !! Lovely clean rooms with a modern touch & with such a friendly owner ... who made you feel welcome from the start !! Will definitely stay again !!
Nothing all was perfect
Clean nice staff good food at a very reasonable price all in all a good choice
The weather lol
It is in a good location.
There were issues right from arrival when £3 charge was added to the payment as “they have white sheets”!? Apparently in the T&c buried somewhere. We were then told it is their policy not to provide a kettle for tea etc as is usually the case in similar hotels but there is a machine you can pay for in reception ( as long as you use a lid as they have white sheets!). The room itself was freezing. We were so cold overnight and the inch thick mattress on an incredibly squeaky bed and super thin duvet did little to help us get warm. No lamps next to the bed so either main light or darkness. We also were given a speech about if we lost the key we would be “sleeping with the seagulls”! Thee was lots of talk in the initial greeting about how we could spend money on their slot machines and 40 different gins. All I really wanted after check in was a cup of tea though! Apparently they have a loyalty scheme where you are entitled to an extra pillow without charge if you return. We won’t be taking them up on that!! They were in the middle of renovations in other rooms however our room had mould on the ceiling.
Was close to the town
The rooms was tiny and bed could of been comfier
Good
Noise from other guests, very noisy at early hours 1.45am very loud when walking past our room
The location is perfect for the town centre and attractions.Parking was available by pre booking which was a bonus. My children loved the little mini arcade next to the bar area, it's a great addition for families, and they loved posing on the thrones.Connor was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. And I can highly recommend trying one of his special burgers! Everywhere was clean even tho theyre in the middle of a renovation and I will definitely be back.
Nothing i didn't like.A few suggestions tho.....no mirror in the room apart from ensuite. Could do with a bedside cabinet or maybe if low on space then just a little shelf for drink/phone etc.And it needs a hand towel and rail adding in ensuite.
We stayed at the Kings Cross Hotel in Blackpool and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome and looked after. The hotel is lovely and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The rooms may be small, but they were spotless, well kept, and had everything we needed. The food was absolutely amazing — my partner had the chorizo burger with chips and (of course) the mac and cheese bites, and he couldn’t stop saying how delicious it was! This was our first time staying here and it most definitely won’t be our last. We would highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return!
Excellent location, great facilities, wonderful host ,Connor couldn't be more helpful and friendly,
Location, there was a bar and other things for kids which looked good but we were short on time for this trip. Beds and bedding were comfortable and clean.
There was lots of renovation going on, bathroom was clean but not spotless, shower tray needed replacing there was some marking.
I liked how the staff was very friendly and the hotel was very welcoming
No kettle in the room but did have it downstairs which you had to pay for , and the room was a little cold no heating in room but nice room in nice hotel
Lovely warm welcome and a super cool ground floor with a great bar and games area. Hotel room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Great location just 5 minutes walk from the promenade. Ordered room service burgers and fries to the room and was delicious. Great value for money. Paid additional for secure parking spot at the back of the hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Some might struggle with the amount of right stairs up to top floor , no problem for me, but to make others aware! Shower slightly weak stream/power but satisfactory.
The owner was very friendly and hospitable. The room was clean and tidy - although a little small. We had good communication so knew what to expect. Check in/out very easy. Asked for extra pillows and they were brought up to us immediately.
Stayed here last night and this hotel was lovely! Would give 11/10 if I could. Connor was absolutely lovely; gave us a tour of the hotel and everything! Even if I were staying on the opposite side of Blackpool, I would stay here again! Thanks Connor, from Sam and Wendy
Was able to accept a last-minute booking, welcomed us with a big smile and gave us first-timers in Blackpool advice on where to go for a top evening. Top service from Connor and the family... we will be back!
