Had a brilliant stay and the room was perfect , nicely decorated and very clean and in the perfect spot, I would definitely return ?
Good location, rooms are basic but clean.
Information needed on how to get back into the hotel later on at night. Hard to communicate with the owner.
No food available!
Supposed to be sea view room but see only visible past other properties. No wardrobe.Only one staff member.Lights faulty.
Good location
Paid for sea view first night alright then had a leak from room above were moved into a small dark room shoddy slapped together furniture very rickety unsafe not fit for purpose hole in sink which let water all over bathroom floor if you weren't aware first time not fit to use as a sink only a colander
The location of the property was perfect for what we wanted
The bed was broken. The blinds didn’t close and were broken and I couldn’t get into the shower because the door way was too narrow. I’m not a massive person. And my partner is slimmer than me and scratched his chest squeezing into it.
Poor
Extremely basic, bed was very uncomfortable with springs felt through the mattress. The clothes rack was broken and fell forward onto my daughter when hanging her coat.
- bed was comfy- good location- hot shower- clean
- room smelled of cigarette smoke- room was smaller than expected - reception wasn’t very professional- getting in and out of property was confusing with keypad
Nice clean room no complaints there
a cleaner with small child with very poor English let us in trying to contact the manager on her phone to sort the booking out, very unprofessional. on departure no staff around at all we had to go knocking on bedroom doors to find the owner of the car that was blocking us in on the driveway waited over half an hour. on returning home we realised we had left something in the room. so we rang the emergency contact number that was on display in hotel, the man who answered said he was the manager but during the conversation there was loud music playing in the background making it hard to hear what he was saying and also broken English which was frustrating but what was very annoying was that during the call he and other people in the background were laughing which we found extremely rude and unprofessional
The front of the hotel looked lovely and clean then you walk through the doors that was clean then you get to your rooms
The rooms are nothing like advertised on booking .com the toilet had not been cleaned the was poo at the bottom of the toilet the floor was dirty the was bits all over the sink
Room was small and 32 stairs to get to it. Beds very comfortable and a great sleep. Fridge and nice tea tray. Room was clean but quite dated. Bathroom dated but clean. Soft towels.
Size of roomMany steps to room
Comfortable beds Sea view Nice location
Water marks down the wall Toilet,sink,bath/shower leaked everytime it was used Extremely thin walls No reception area The key fob never works Rude manger on the phone
Location was ideal. Parking was available for two cars at side of property
TV not working in room 7. Dried Damp patches in room 4 on walls. Dried damp patches over ceiling in seating area. Toilet not working in room 1. Was advised it would be fixed but was not. Had to use toilet across landing. On way home got call to say we hadn't paid for parking which we had and had to explain over and over. Was advised by another member of staff to ask for refund for parking due to issues in rooms but we didn't. Wish we had now as made to feel liars about parking. Definitely won't return.
Such a shame. A clean, value for money place which was unfortunately let down by the manager and lack of safety features. Would be fine for couples/groups but I could not reccomend this place for families. The female cleaner was very friendly and polite.
We called ahead to check if the ‘limited parking’ was available and were told we could park in the garage at a cost of £10, which we did. We then went to get some lunch until it was time to check in. Upon check in, the manager appeared friendly enough but explained that there was an issue with the drains and he was sick of dealing with customers so he’d switched off his phone (a little concerning). He was also disgruntled that the cleaner had not given us our keys when we parked the cars as he’d had to return from the gym to check us in. That evening, we discovered that the windows in the rooms had no safety latch which is especially concerning when you are not on the ground floor, have young children and low-level window openers. Upon check out, we tried to find the manager to alert him to this issue and ask if it would be ok to leave the cars in the garage until we’d had breakfast. He was nowhere to be found. We spoke to the cleaner to report the issue and she told us it was fine to leave the cars. After breakfast, we returned to the hotel to open the garage. Most of us waited outside whilst one member of the party went in with his 5 year old son. This is where we had real issues! The manager, who had been passive when we checked in, became aggressive and confrontational, using foul language, angry that the cars had not been moved. We tried to explain that we had not been able to find him, so cleared it with the cleaner. He would not accept this and continued, scaring our little boy! You cannot run a hotel with this sort of attitude. It is completely unacceptable that a child had to witness this sort of behaviour and definitely put a dampener on an otherwise lovely weekend. I would suggest that, if the manager wants to avoid such misunderstandings, that the parking information should be made more clear and that he should actually be in the building for check in and check out! I would also strongly suggest that safety latches are fitted to the windows!
