Breakfast was fantastic friendly staff
The rooms was cold bar and bedrooms
I liked the entertainment and also the sports bar with sky tv.
I have never been in a hotel that was as cold as the Craig Y Don, the room was freezing when we arrived, and even in the lounge at night we and others had to wear our coats, we watched as people went to complain about how cold it was and it just fell on deaf ears as nothing was done about it, even one of the bar staff brought out his coat and put it over the shoulders of an elderly lady , so the staff definitely knew about it.
The place was very clean and the staff and food was very nice
Just not for me maybe the time of the year. Very basic. The rooms were clean but not that well equipped. Been in better more equipped hotels for the same money. Wont be going back.
Not much there. The bar also came up short when it came to verify.
Staff friendly and helpful
No parking we had to park 1/2 a mile away, breakfast very limited no options, you have to order your evening meal at breakfast to find its buffet and ordering was pointless. The evening entertainment was pretty good but the room it's in is far too small
Good Location , Breakfast good , good entertainment and bingo , Staff were friendly , lovely Hotel and busy
The breakfast buffet was amazing, the rooms were lovely and clean, the bed was a little soft for my liking but not a major distract.Brilliant central location.
Great location on the sea front. All staff were friendly and very helpful. Spacious room, very clean. Good evening entertainment and a nice cooked breakfast.
Sink in bathroom was very small. Could not fill kettle or have a wash without pulling water on floor
Hotel was busy, but friendly. Breakfast was good, too. Good value.
We specifically went for this hotel because it had lifts. As it turned out, we were put in a ground floor room. However, there are two short flight of steps to get into the hotel. 5 steps and 7 steps. We also picked this hotel as it specifically stated it had free parking. When checking in, we were presented with a list of local car parks, none are free. There is some free parking on the street behind the hotel, quite a walk in the heavy rain that night, there are about 40 spots, but the hotel is only one of many in the area! To cap it off, this road was in the middle of being resurfaced that night. We won’t be going back, I’m afraid. That is blatant misrepresentation.
The staff and entertainment was excellent, breakfast was lovely and location was perfect, loved the bingo
Location only
Heating in the room was shocking checked in at 2pm and the room was freezing. When I complained we were told it’s on a timer and will be on at 5pm it comes on 3 times a day so the hotel tell you when you will be warm in February this is unacceptable with many guests complaining to the management. Breakfast was 8.30 to 9.30 never had a short window in any hotel I have ever stayed in.we went down at 8.30 and the breakfast in half the items were cold you would think starting at 8.30 it would all be warm awful
Great location . Clean . Room was good size . Bed was so comfy . Breakfast amazing . Staff amazing . Wendy the cleaner she's lovely . Entertainment amazing .
Can't remember his name but guy behind bar with glasses brown hair his attitude was awful . Everyone else was lovely .
Somewhere to go with my family
Very dated, bed’s uncomfortable, my poor son and family had very little sleep due to having room behind entertainment, stupid time for evening meal only 1hr5-6 wasn’t told this when I said to staff on phone that we wanted a meal. Evening staff were rude and unhelpful.
The staff were lovely and all very helpful.Entertainment generally good.
Shower was a bit tempremental.Should add a choice of fruit at breakfast. You can't take grapefruit if you are on statins.
Friendly staff, very clean. Entertainment was good
Location and the evening entertainment
Room 314 was cold and felt damp. The duvet was too small, the en-suite washbasin too small. The breakfast was adequate but no vegetarian options on the buffet. The facilities said there was free parking but we had to find on street parking. The staff were very friendly
Nothing much really
There was two men behind the bar a Scotsman and an English man the Scottish one was fantastic the Englishman should not have a job simple really. Very hard mattress and no power at all in the shower.
Location , very friendly staff , reasonable bar prices
White Bath painted pink for some reason! and was flaking off! No small complimentary shower gel or shampoo - should be standard in hotels these days. Had to go shop to buy some. Was walking round for 5mins looking for my table number for breakfast , they are just randomly put on tables, they dont go up in numerical sequence.Cleaner knocked on door , said we will leave in 5mins so she could clean room but when returned she hadnt come back to room
