OYO The Golden Cheval Hotel

Got to the hotel everything inside and out was dirty. All windows could barely see out of. Walked in having made a booking and the staff didn’t ask me for a name booking number or anything! Just handed me the phone to speak to a manager. Manager said he had no booking down for me. Tried showing the staff emails with the booking confirmation but just looked at it and handed me the phone again for the manager. Had to go find another hotel to stay at with 2 babies under 2 and 3 other kids with us. Not good at all!

Everything was dirty , unhygienic, lose wires dirty sheets would not recommend

WE DID NOT STAY THERE & IT WAS VERY HARD TO GET MY MONEY BACK I HAD TO CHASE IT UP TO GET IT

Do Not book. Massive scam alert!

Booked this hotel for one night, the day before this was due to be paid I received an email to say my room had been cancelled. They still needed payment, after paying this they are not responding to any emails, phone calls nor booking.com are helping!!

Do not book we travelled 2 hours from home to the hotel to be told 2 hours before check in they cancelled our hotel even though the total of the reservation was taken out of my bank 2 days before our stay!!

Beds was comfy was close to the seafront, toilet didn’t flush so was moved rooms no hesitation, was provided with a heater as it was cold

Was very noisy (people coming back late talking on the phone) key didn’t work to open front door and when given a new key it was very stiff. Was only given one spoon so had to take turns eating breakfast in the morning

Do not book at this hotel because it's closed,I had to find alternative accommodation, but they've took my money.

I made a reservation at this hotel But actually the hotel was closed simply my money was taken to sleep I couldn't sleep I don't think this is right

CHRIST WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO

THE HOTEL IS CLOSED DERELICT ABANDONED . THERE IS A HANDWRITTEN NOTE ON THE DOOR, BACK IN FIVE MINUTES KEYS ROUND THE BACK. WHY IS BOOKING. COM STILL ACCEPTING BOOKINGS. IT LOOKS AS IF IT HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR MONTHS/YEARS. IT IS DERELICT. BUT IT IS STILL BEING ADVERTISED AS OPEN.

Very poor

Room not clean. Bedding didn't 'match. Building had a bad odour. Had a person banging , kicking shouting at the front door under our room at 2am.

The only good thing was the location

It was not fit for purpose room dirty shower dirty bedding very dated and dirtyDoor entry troublesome couldn't get in door outside for 30 mins trying in the rain and wind

Pleasant staff

We was left with NO heating, NO electricity and NO hot water

The hotel wasn’t what we expected, we understood the building was an old property but it was poorly maintained, there was no excuse for our room to be so dirty. The floor hadn’t been vacuumed prior to our arrival, the curtains needed to be repaired and rehung. There was a hole in the bed base and the bedding had ominous brown stains. When returned the staff did their best to rectify the issues that could have been avoided.

The staff tried the best to help,when we asked for a cleaner room.

The bedsheets were dirty in all 3 rooms that we saw. There was trash on the floor. The heaters weren't working. No towels and toiletries provided, the windows werent closing properly. The toilet was broken in one of the rooms too. The staff said the cleaning lady would come in soon but thatshe will be drunk and probably not able to help. You could easily hear the streets as well as other guests. It was not possible to stay in this hotel.

Nothing it was divesting and room not cleaned I had to leave n pay for somewhere else

The room was dirty bedding was dirty and hadn’t been changed

In the sea front

No heating, hot water, electricity, couldn’t watch TV, shower only cold water. Could sea the sea view out the window due to the dirty window. No staff at reception in the morning.

Room dirty sheets stained had no hot water for the 2 days reported nothing done Was very cold asked about heating said will put on later and was not put on for the 2 days No remote for tv said will get one on Wednesday the day we was leaving Paid for seaview was room asked to change room as someone else coming on New Year’s Eve in the room we was in and new room was not sea view

Absolutely nothing

Extremely run down, curtain had a huge rip in it, electric constantly tripping, room cold, 2 heaters in there that tripped the electric.
