The room/wing we were in was like a Sauna. With no way to lower the temperature since the window opened only slightly?

Very rude at reception when we finally checked in later on Sunday about 6pm, continued to try and blame me for incorrectly allocating the rooms when the hotel called me to do this, very poor experience indeed.

I had a fabulous full body massage with Isobel at the spa.

As there is a spa inside the hotel it would have been great to have bath robes in the room.

The staff very friendly and helpful The room cleaning staff exceptional, was struggling to get my wife in a wheelchair out the room & they quickly came & held the door, when we came back they had left a note & a wedge to hold the door open. The breakfast was lovely I would say was overpriced, should be included in the room price.

The bathroom wasn't suitable for a wheelchair user. Unable to use the shower as there was a high step to get over. Couldn't use the bath. The bathroom was cold, Not large enough when you have someone in a wheelchair. Could do with double glazing &/or underfloor heating.

The whole experience was fabulous, the staff are absolutely amazing, attentive, so friendly and helpful making you feel as though you are part of the family. Hotel is emaculate and full of history and artefacts belonging to the family. We had a treatment in the wellness centre which was first class.

Drinks are expensive but to be expected given today’s climate.

shower rather pokey and bathroom dated, television was rather small.

the huts are great. really comfortable and cosy and luxurious. the hot bath outside was a great bonus.

the only critism is location due to traffic noise, which was very noticable when outside in bath.

Attentive staff. Very comfortable bed and room. Lovely food, although could do better with GF bread (plenty better out there!)

room upgraded into the main building. Also EV charger installed and worked !!

Lovely hotel set in beautiful gardens. All staff very helpful and friendly. Room was warm clean comfortable and spacious. Restaurant was lovely good menu. Drinks a little pricey but expected at a quality hotel .

Not a lot to dislike maybe more products in the bathroom.

The friendly reception staff welcomed us on arrival. We were early and our room was already prepared. It was all decorated beautifully for Christmas.

Nothing, we had a really relaxing break.

Location is tranquil and perfect for us as walkers. Close to Saltburn.Breakfast was excellent as was evening meal. Staff were all very helpful.Room was a good size, warm and bed very comfortable.

Service a bit slow in the restaurant but it was busy.I had to complain about a dog barking in the next room so make sure you check youre not next to a dog room if you don't want that problem. It was dealt with immediatelt though.

As always it was a delight to stay at Guisborough hall. The staff are always polite and welcoming, always on hand if help is required. Food is presented beautifully, with imagination, there has never been anything I couldn't eat.Another delightful stay, thankyou to everyone at guisborough hall, we will return.

The only annoying thing was a noisy neighbour but when you are staying in a hotel you do sometimes come across inconsiderate people through no fault of the staff.

11am checkout?

Being woken up by cleaning staff walking into my bedroom at 10:30am and a check out time of 11am. If you are going to host functions in the expectation that people will stay overnight at your hotel, you have to have a later check out time. Or shut the bar at midnight and lose money. The manner of the clerk at the front desk the next morning left a lot to be desired. It was 12:20pm. Not 2pm. A little perspective is required.

Location is remote
