- Comfortable throughout and very friendly and Helpful staff
- Personnel is just amazing - so friendly and caring. Best beds for sleeping. Cozy restaurant with a good choice of meals from true chef.
- Nice room and comfortable bed.
Cons -
- Food to expensive
- Soundproof windows would make a huge difference in stays as the hotel is located close to the main road.
- The curtain in our bedroom was off it's hooks and hanging down, and when we first picked up the towel from the rail in the bathroom it came off it's bracket from the wall in our hands. But we managed to put it back and it seemed to stay in place afterwards. But these were only minor things.

It's difficult to rate value for money in these days of dynamic pricing when everyone pays a different price, but I paid £69 for single use of a large double room with breakfast, which was outstanding value for money in a hotel of this standard.
Location for sure ..: two minutes walk to city centre
I wanted to extend my booking for 2 more nights… no response to my booking.com request and when i went to the front desk they did extend with 50£ more than booking.com price. The day of check out they were knocking on my door at 11AM I said i need one more hour they lady replied check with reception about late check out. That was not very friendly for someone staying 4 nights with you.
Cooked Breakfast was good with a good selection of hot food & hot plates, nice choice of cereals, toast, croissants.
Breakfast there were no prunes, only raisins left out of all the dried fruit bowls (which were very small) Bed, pillows where to hardShower over bathRoom 502 window didn't seam to fit properly the wind was whistling around the edgesSafe was locked, so not used
Cozy room, good size wardrobe, location
Bathroom wasn’t super clean, a bit old.
Great location. Cozy interior. Personnel is exceptional. Very nice restaurant, that is popular in the area.
Bathroom could be more modern and shiny, as it should be in our days. Breakfast is expected to be little more diverse for 4* hotel.
Location
You could here the traffic because the windows would not close properly due to wear and tear
Great location central to the city center, train station and the Riverside Stadium. Good and spacious desk in the room. Ideal if you bring your laptop with you for leisure or work. Standard hotel room with everything you need for a brief stay.
The check-in experience was tedious and time-consuming.Checked in online as encouraged by an email from the hotel that I received the day before my stay. It proved to be pointless as I ended up having to go through the whole check in process once again upon arrival which was a slightly time-consuming process. Had to complete a check in form adding personal information that I have already provided twice. Once when booking my room and when checking in online. Initially there was some confusion about my booking. I had only booked a one-night stay but it showed up as two nights when checking in. At no point prior to my stay (booking process, online check-in, other communication from the hotel) have I been asked to bring my passport as ID nor provide my passport number. However, I was asked to provide it upon check in which caused some more confusion. I live and work in the UK and never bring my passport as my ID when travelling domestically. I have never been asked for my passport specifically as identification when staying at other hotels where they accept any photo ID like a UK driver's license or a national ID card. This was not a big issue but the whole experience in total was annoying. I ended up behind a big queue of people checking in which took some time too so an efficient check in process, the whole point of the online check-in according to the hotel, would have been a positive experience in this situation rather than a negative one. The reception team only did their job so they are not to blame for this. The following day, I checked out in the morning. There was no one in the reception at the time so I dropped my key card in the express check-out box. In the evening, I received yet another email from the hotel encouraging me to check out online so I did not need to go by the reception ... only problem is that I have already checked out and left the hotel hours ago.
Breakfast good. Good sized room . Staff very friendly .Good central location.
It was very dirty
The place was unbelievably dirty. Called reception several times to request for things and they don’t answer so i had to physically go down myself. They don’t even provide slippers, i don’t know how it’s supposed to be a 4 star hotel, I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. Their towels have holes in them, the soap and shampoo dispensers are dirty and falling apart. The mattress was as if someone was shot on it. It was hot so i requested for a fan and they gave me one that was full of dust and dirt. How can you provide that to a guest?
Hotel was lovely. Staff very helpful . I didn't get to use the leisure facility on this trip but hope to stay again soon ....Breakfast was very good, room very clean and comfortable.
Parking wasn't free.....
Room very clean. Only issue we had was the cleaner knocking on our door 0830 morning we were checking out which woke us up, they wanted to know if we were still in the room. (?!) We then couldn't get back to sleep. They then knocked AGAIN at 10:20 to ask if we were still in the room. (!?) Check out isn't until 11... She looked at her watch when I asked her that I thought we had until 11. When we did leave our room she was waiting on the corridor and commented that 'everyone is usually up and out early on Mondays' and said something about us having a lie in or something and being 'the last ones up and out'This was strange as check out is 11 and I've never had this happen in a hotel before?! We were so tired after a really long day the previous day and didn't need to be woken up early ahead of a really long drive home.....
Feeling rushed out and knocked on at 0830 and again at 1020 and comments about being the last ones out??? We just wanted a relaxing check out
Excellent evening meal in the restaurant and friendly, efficient staff. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed using the pool and steam room.
Our room whilst very nice was a little warm for me, so I had the windows open over night as couldn’t find the air conditioning. Due to the traffic noise outside my sleep was disturbed.
Breakfast
Our room was a tripple, which was not requested. there was one chair and no sofa so one of us had to sit on the bed. Only one bath towel, we were told at check out that the other was in the wardrobe, bizzare. There was a stange empty space in the room which we filled with the table that was left in the corridoor !!The receptionist directed us and others to the lounge/bar area but it was closed. The view would have been nice if the window was not filthy. The beakfast was good but I had to point out that the plate I first chose had tissue stuck on it. Also the evening menu was reduced to pizza and chips!!All in all not a good stay and we will not be going back.
Check-in, Staff and the view from the room
The shower is the rain shower, which I do not like because your hair will be wet.
The gym. The air conditioning. The staff at breakfast were great!
They didn’t clean the room on our second day even though we asked. They just gave us towels and left. The toilet was very difficult to flush. The hot tub was full of foam. Parking expensive and hard to park. Not up to the good standards that Leonardo Hotels are known for. that we have stayed in.
staff and breakfast was spot on.
limited wine list and a tad pricey. not free parking. in
Great breakfast
A bit noisy in rooms...older facility with thin walls
