room very clean ,spacious with a sea view

Very friendly, well organised and clean.

Location was good. Seafront property although most rooms faced away.

Our room was very small and the double bed definitely was not suitable for a couple. More like a large single. Very uncomfortable .No suitable parking available. We found it unsafe to leave the car a far distance away.

friendly helpful staff who sorted out an alternative room for us and recommended nearby restaurants. breakfast was great and generous portions. spotlessly clean in all areas.

the first room we were allocated was small and very hot when we arrived. a lovely member of staff came and set the air conditioner for us and then arranged for another room ( a choice of two) for us to move to. problem sorted out quickly and efficiently.

I had a lovely three-night stay at Claxton. Redcar is a quiet town, and in this season, it was incredibly relaxing to sit by the sea and enjoy the breeze. Claxton is undoubtedly in the best location — just steps from the beach, and I could even see the sea right from my room window.The single room was compact but very clean and tidy, and housekeeping was prompt and efficient. The complimentary breakfast was definitely a highlight: it was generous, served over a good time range, and even offered gluten-free options, which meant I could start each day well-fed and ready to explore.Check-in and check-out were both smooth and convenient. I think booking directly through their website might be even easier next time.Redcar and Claxton have been among the most memorable places I’ve visited during my time in the UK. I’m already thinking of coming back for another holiday next year!

The staircase is a bit narrow, so carrying a large suitcase up might be a little tricky.

Great location. Very reasonably priced bar food and drink menu. Perfectly cooked poached eggs at breakfast.

I would definitely stay here again , the staff was very polite and helpful. The food was so so good homemade specials and at a really good affordable price. We were welcomed with a friendly face . We were late for breakfast but we were still given what we wanted. I cannot fault anything the facilities was the best, if I had to nic pick it would be the heating was noisy but after 5 mins it didn’t bother me .

Breakfast was very greasy and of poor quality the bacon salty cheap sausages, attic room was a nightmare I'm asthmatic and there were no towels i had to go up and down 2-3 times asking for towels, iron ,etc the shower is a pain to work fiddly while you have to be in it to adjust temperature the water was Luke warm at best and I really think bath towels should be supplied the towels given barely went around my waist had to use two small towels..all in all it was mediocre
