Cons -
- Room was set up for 1 person. Room menu was literally covered in food. The shower was like a intermittent with hot then cold water. Kids playing in the corridors early mornings.
- I cannot think of any part of my experience which I didn`t like, & I am sure if I did have a complaint or issue the Staff would have rectified immediately if possible, the Staff were very helpful.
- It wasn’t a matter of disliking it but I would always prefer a ground floor bedroom simply because side I had a lot of luggage a d a recent knee operation and I struggled a bit with the stairs - I wasn’t aware that they had a few bedrooms downstairs and I will certainly be enquiring the next time I book there.

Receptionist was very welcoming & helpful on my initial arrival, I was early but was still offered access to my Room. Room was Clean & Warm on arrival, with plenty of "hanging" space for Clothes etc. The Bathroom was Clean with Fresh Towels available on "warming" Rails, in readiness for a Shower or Bath.

After a very long day, I didn’t arrive til after 9pm so it was straight to bed for me! I was given a warm welcome by an efficent receptionist. although travelling alone I booked a double bed for a comfort the room was warm and cozy with every facility needed for a short stay - a clean and very comfortable bed, large tv, ironing facilities, lots of hot water and refreshments on hand. Despite being over a bar, I was not disturbed at all and the corridor was very quiet. I awoke refreshed ready for my long journey home. I chose a continental breakfast which was well- set out and plentiful. A helpful and friendly waitress assisted me with local information. I have no hesitation in recommending this central hotel - it was excellent value with extremely helpful staff.

The staff are really helpful polite and approachable, I couldn't praise them any higher, from the night porter to the cleaners, flying the flag for Greene king
Everything the location comforts of the warm
Nice greeting, friendly staff. Room was very clean and warm, bed comfy and no noise so a great nights sleep.
Very comfortable room, liked the check in time, clean and top floor so was quiet. Heating was great and the room offered real comfort from the horrible weather outside.
I was given a key card for room 31 that opened room 30 and had to make sure they didn't allocate someone to room 30 due to the card key issue.
Bad
Payed for double room only one towel one cup
Warm and clean room. Clean and fresh air in my room. Comfy bed. Good parking. Nice restaurant/pub.
No issues
Bad
I visited hotel to establish availability, they got me to book on booking.com.Toilet did not work. Previous occupants poo there. Receptionist came up and had to forcefully push both flushes to drain. Subsequently per the picture the flush did not work.Soap dispenser above washbasin in bathroom was empty, it was reported, nothing was done about it.Heating temperature controls, it was boiling hot in room, thermostat control did not work. Another visit to reception revealed temperature was controlled centrally, had been set at 30degrees C. Clothes moths seen in hallway and in room.Noise repetitive thudding sound in morning. At breakfast marmalade jelly had mould on it. See pictures.Breakfast table cleared before finished, delays caused by them in breakfast due to need for complaints Key to door not worked, Another trip to reception to get it fixed.Condensending attitude from staff, not attending to faults reported.Toilet roll stored very close to Toilet seat, picking up spray from flushing toilet did and urnirating standing up, not clean nor hygienic.Reception referred me to booking.com to address complaints.
So much nicer than I expected. Night porter Abdul was delightful.
Too hot and windows didn’t open for obvious reasons. I’m just a hot potato but it was really cosy.
Good
I stay here often but the last two visits have been ruined by dogs barking. 5.30am Sunday is ridiculous. Dog friendly hotels are not good. Now I prefer premier inn
I live in the South & Travelled up to Middlesbrough to see my Family as I wont see them over the Christmas & New Year Period. I Booked a Table for us all to have the Christmas Menu together. All my Family enjoyed the experience, the Food was well Cooked & Hot when delivered to the Table, the portions were huge, none us cleared our Plates as there was some much food on the Plate, what was eaten was delicious.
There isnt any fault I can find with this Hotel, I stay regularly because of the Staff/Comfort & Cleanliness of the Hotel. I would certainly recommend to anybody travelling & staying over night in Middlesbrough.
Size of room was brilliant. Staff are always amazing. Really like this place. Will be back.
Was a bit more noisy than usual but this time of year it's understandable.
Clean and tidy with plenty of amenities.Nice and relaxed atmosphere with no red tape or hoops to jump through on check in.No extra cost for our little dog..Free parking space and lots of them available. Comfy bed and plenty of plug sockets.
Only complaint was door in hallway was banging every couple of minutes from the early hours and kept waking me up.
Room was well layed out, light and fresh, 100% improvement from my last visit
Would have liked a shaving light above the mirror
