Harbour Hotel & Spa Richmond

The hotel is nice, my room was not.

If you are taller than 5'5" and get stuck in their attic room you won't fit in the shower (I am 6'3" and the top of the shower head only went to my chin). You will get one towel that does not get replaced by house cleaning, and the bed is awful.

Facilities were great

The room was too hot. The AC doesn’t seem to work well so we had to open the window in winter. It was still quite hot.We reported it the first day of our stay. It wasn’t resolved but we didn’t push because we were so tired

The bedroom was fresh and comfortable.

The cleaner missed a human mark in the lip behind the lid which was disgusting. I just aw it before I left this morning.

Breakfast was very healthy with lots of fresh fruit And options to have cooked breakfast off a menu

Not too sure why they have to take £100 off you on arrival .

Fabulous hotel and amazing spa facilities! The room was so clean and bed so comfortable! I enjoyed the breakfast too! Highly recommend for a relaxing gateway!

Comfy bed, big bathroom, friendly staff

Every time we walked to or from our room, we had to walk past hoovers just left out in the corridor, day and night, the window in the bedroom didn't shut properly so was always noisy. We have stayed several times before at this hotel and never experienced this before hence our return visit. We wouldn't rush back especially with the extortionate car parking costs as well that need to be considered into the cost of the stay.

Love the Spa and the pool. Ran into a lot of locals who enjoy the facility too.

My adult son and I wanted a break from central London where we were staying, from the Christmas crowds. I enjoyed a morning swim at the lovely indoor pool. He took his camera early morning to Richmond park. Location very good.

The spa was nice, and the location was great, and the reception staff where very helpful and the overal style of the hotel was very nice.

Unfortunately, the initial room we were given was extremely poor. It was located in the basement down a corridor that smelled strongly of toilets or pests, and situated directly beneath the events room with no soundproofing. Thankfully, the reception staff upgraded us at no cost, which improved the situation — but if that hadn’t been possible, we would have requested a refund as the room was unacceptable.The upgraded room was better, but still had issues. The heating didn’t work, the single-glazed windows made the room very cold, and the bath/shower plug was clogged.In addition, the bar and restaurant service was some of the worst I’ve experienced in a UK hotel. On multiple occasions we waited more than 30 minutes to be served while staff stood chatting, they would look over to us seated and waiting but refuse to acknowledged us. Twice we ended up giving up and going to the pub next door.I've stayed in many a harbour hotel, and this was by far the worse experiance.

Upgraded to a bigger room, which was good. Reasonable gym which I used.

A very comfortable hotel with good amenities and a great location. It felt cosy and had a feeling of quiet luxury about it. The staff were helpful although a bit distant. I loved the location with an easy walk into Richmond town center.

I thought the staff were a little standoffish. There could have been a better ambience about the place. For example, we wanted to have a drink in the restaurant and sat outside but no one came to take our order, in the end my partner had to go and find someone, then we waited a long time for the drinks to actually arrive. The staff were around and were helpful when approached but they didn't really show much attentiveness in general.

The location was great for walking around for a neighborhood feel. Nice walk to parks, shops and restaurants.

They seemed short staffed, staff who were there were not friendly. There were so many stairs and my room was so difficult to find and no hospitality was shown to help me find it.

Awesome gym and pool, and wow staff! So nice and helpful and welcoming. Can’t say enough.

The restaurant needs help. Staffing was inefficient and slow. Maybe understaffed. The buffet ran dry and was not replenished. Even a cuppa took 25 mins. But when I told staff, they didn’t charge me and promised to inform management. The restaurant workers were overwhelmed & trying - upper management needs to hire more workers.

The receptionist. I found him cold and a curt. His explanations do not mean my understanding. Came accross as impolite and rushed. Lacked a sense of warmth in his demeanor.

Very close to a gorgeous park and a long but walkable distance into Richmond commercial area which is very charmingThe gym was great for a hotel!!
