    Pros +

    • The room was well fitted with everything that was needed and more.
    • ideal place to stay for the rugby, great room and food really good.
    • Everything! Excellent customer service at check in/out, and room service. Clean, beautiful building throughout. The family room was beautifully decorated, paired with quality beddings/towels. The honesty bar was a very very nice surprise- fully stocked, as it should be, and the fresh milk!!! But the best thing was the little box for the kids - books, crayons, toys, games and mini marshmallows for their hot chocolate - that puts the icing on the cake! We’re very impressed. We highly recommend and we’ll definitely be staying at Young’s accomm whenever we can. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

    Cons -

    • Was unable to get a dinner booking, also was unable to get a seat at the bar to have a drink and watch the rugby.
    • Was not notified that I had to pay a £30 deposit. This was refunded after the stay however this could have been detailed in advance.
    • A little cold in the bar

The room was very comfortable, the court yard was a lovely place for a drink or dinner. Very easy walk to train station.

Lovely room, very clean and a very comfortable bed. The honesty bar and treats were very well stocked and there was an excellent variety. The food was excellent and staff were all very helpful

It’s my favourite hotel, when I need a break away, great location, rooms always nice clean and comfortable, staff so far have been really friendly too, the bar area very relaxing with great staff, I feel home on holiday , love it .

A little cold in the bar

Breakfast was delicious and the beds and showers very comfortable.

When you're on the lower level you will experience lots of sounds from the people walking on the floor in the room above you. Especially when they have kids running around.

    6RomanPosted on: 1-3-2026

Close to train station. Room is cozy. Jotul stove in the bar - nice.

Mold in the bathroom, like - a lot. Bar is not very clean and you can smell it. Elevator drips oil. The place needs some good maintenance and deep cleaning. Food selection and quality of preparation needs looking at (serving chicken on carcass as a baby menu selection- seriously?). Reception is a dungeon. Sound insulation is very poor - we had to listen to some sexual action next room trying to distract kids from it.

    Location

Being woken between 3-4am by the sound of rolling water down the side of my room.Very hard mattressImpossible to work out how to get some warmth in the room

The bedroom was just perfect. It was large spotlessly clean and had everything you would want, including an iron and board. The en-suite showroom was also very large and well equipped. We could not have been more delighted. Definitely 4* standard.

The reception area definitely needs refurbished. It does not reflect the high standard of this very good, well run hotel.

Stylish , character , friendly staff Very Christmassy atmosphere

Awkward getting in and out of hotel bit with keys and back entrance etc

Beautiful family room, loved the bunk beds for the kids, nice touches for the family like top trumps game, books and marshmallows for the hot cocoa. Didn’t eat at the pub but wish we had!

    Nothing complaints!

    9EllenPosted on: 12-2-2025

Location was good, classical Victorian building, friendly staff and super comfortable and clean room, containing everything needed for your stay. Loved the food (and the artwork) in the restaurant too

The only channel I could get on the TV was GB News!

    7JosephPosted on: 11-23-2025

Clean, comfortable, good location. Gave me a late checkout.

No lift - lots of ups and downs to get to my room. Staff in the pub seemed to be ambivalent.

The family room is clean and comfortable.

-I was asked upon arrival to pay for the room and to agree to a pre-athorization for the minibar, which I duly complied to.-I mentionned explicitly that I came to attend a concert that was very valuable to me on Saturday evening. -I was asked if I wanted the room to be left "open", so that I could charge restaurant food and beverages to the room, and I agreed to it. But at the restaurant they had no trace of that, and I had to insist so that the bill is to charged to the room, which was ennoying. -During the concert I received 2 phones calls on my personal mobile phone from reception, with no message left. The second time (at almost 10.00pm) I felt pressured to answer, thinking it might be for some emergency. I exited the concert, all this to hear that there was no urgent issue and that we could talk about it the next day.-The issue appeared to be that the pre-autorization for the minibar was accepted then refunded, for a reason that I don't know of (I did nothing for this to happen). In their own words, there was no emergency, and nothing of my fault, so I really wonder what made them feel legitimate to call a guest on his personal mobile phone twice, at night, knowing that he was attending an important concert, just to ultimately tell him that the matter was not urgent. I have been travelling for the past 40 years to hundreds of hotels all of over the world, and nothing like that had ever happened to me before. I feel my privacy has been violated, and this spoiled the second part of the concert I had traveled all the way from France to Teddington with my disabled son to bring joy to him. I was asked by the hotel to give my feeback in writing, which I did immediately. 4 days later, no answer whatsoever (apart for sending me again my reservation confirmation, 4 days after check-out, does not make any sense), so I post my story.
