Pros +
- Proximity to activities
- The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, an iron and ironing board, hair dryer etc. Beds were comfortable and there was a good supply of towels. The hotel was within easy reach of Kew Gardens tube station so ideal for anyone wanting to base themselves in this part of London.
- I like the location of the hotel. It is within a walking distance to the Kew Garden Station and Kew Royal Botanic Gardens.
Cons -
- No lift to 4th floor
- The rooms for my son and I were fine, but they were on the 3rd floor and anyone with mobility issues would have really struggled. There was no indication of this when we booked and there should be....it could have caused real problems for people.

Exceptional staff. Perfect location for while doing research at the NationalArchives. wonderful breakfast!
Fantastic location, lovely staff, beautiful dinner and breakfast, rooms a bit "tired". Could do with a refresh as quite shabby, but overall a great visit.
The bedroom
After a late request for a room with fewer stairs, we were allocated a room on the 1st floor at the top of the stairs. Combined with the very friendly staff and fully equipped room, we could not fault our stay. Thank you.(Under the flight path, but to be expected in that location)
The only minor quibble was my friend getting her hair soaked trying to work out the shower controls. Instructions would be helpful.
Very cozy and close to everything I got all what I need in the room and the pub downstairs serves aGreat food
The location was amazing. Nice pub restaurant on first floor. Room was ready early, so I didn't need to store my luggage.
Room temperature control was a bit confusing.
My room was clean and bed was very comfy. The situation close to the station was ideal for what I wanted to do.Kew is a very charming little village and people were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was very good, the staff helpful, and the hotel itself charming. It was also very close to the gardens, which was the main focus for my stay.
The second night I was bitten on my right hand by something large- it must have been a spider, for my hand swelled up, itched and burned for 4 or more days. Also, I had some trouble getting out of the bath! Perhaps a wall bar would help, or something mounted on the side of the bath.
The restaurant was delicious and the location was nice. A walk through the town was enjoyable, and it was close to the tube station. Also close to Heathrow.
We had requested a queen bed, but were given a room with two twin beds. The shades were damaged, and the shower head fell off onto my head. Coffee was not available until 8am. No lift, all of your bags are your responsibility to drag up the stairs, so pack light!
Very nice staff, excellent dinner and breakfast, nice area
We loved the location near Kew Gardens. We didn't get to try the pub as it was being used for a private party and we had to leave too early in the morning to have breakfast but, the pub looked cozy and fun. Very nice staff helped us with our heavy luggage up the stairs as there is no lift. We loved the vintage decor in our room and we had everything we needed. It was a wonderful stay for us!decor
Close to Kew Gardens and train station. Cute little area with variety of shops. Quaint. Lively breakfast and ambiance in building.
Carpets a little dated.
The staff was amazing. I so appreciated the staff working through my cancellation and rebooking. The sheets were great, the size of the room, the noise level of the interior of the hotel, the restaurant/bar, the charm, the location...
The airplanes flying overhead....the hotel can't help that but WOW! And the bathroom felt a little "rough"....hard to explain but the lighting was poor, the towel racks/hooks. Things just seemed a bit "off".
LocationBreakfastFriendly and accommodating dating staff
Multiflights of stairs difficult to navigate with heavy luggageRoom needs full updating , paint chipping, worn furniture, fall risk in tub; no grab bars( needs to be converted to shower) Reported issues to the attending manager July 25, 2025
Great location and the building and bar has amazing character. Wait staff in bar were awesome.
Air conditioner in room did not work. Front desk worker met me to confirm it did not work. He did nothing to fix issue. He really did not care at all that we spent way too much for a hotel that is not worth the money.
Breakfast was excellent . Location is very convenient
It’s on the Heathrow flight path with no air conditioning so a bit noisy with the windows open
I've stayed in a lot of budget places around London and this was one of the better ones. They even cleaned the room every day and provided tea making equipment and a fan.
As usual in London, the bathroom was pretty small. The sink was so small it was almost unusable!
Convenient location for Kew Gardens. Clean.
Overall tired appearance. Room furniture old. Decorations need attention. No lift is a significant disadvantage for elderly.
