Pros +
- Nice comfy bed and friendly staff
- Rooms were immaculate, bar downstairs was an added bonus. Great atmosphere around from a lot of people staying there after the World Club Challenge. Great place, will definitely return!
- The hotel and staff were helpful , breakfast lady was exceptional
Cons -
- Having tried to amend my booking and add breakfast. I was told the hotel would chrage me correctly, they didnt i was charged full price then when questioned i was told by booking.com to contact the hotel. After booking.com were meant to have sorted.Breakfast was poor, poor quality sausage, cold mushrooms, hard and cold hash browns and cold coffee. Not able to use my firestick for netflix.
- Beds bit hard
- The restaurant was a shambles. I observed at least 3 different groups arriving to eat and they had no knowledge of the booking. This happened to me too, at 6pm. I was quizzed about whether I’d made a booking which was a bit embarrassing (I had). Fortunately , there was one lady with blonde hair who seemed to be holding it all together and was lovely. When we were seated , the room was quite empty but they sat me and my 7 year old granddaughter next to a large group who had been drinking for a while who were loud and sometimes inappropriate. I asked to be moved after about 15 mins and they did that straight away but our experience had been spoilt by that lack of judgement. If we visit again, we’ll be eating somewhere else.

Staff were lovely , room was perfect.

Lovely friendly welcome and the room was big lovely shower unit and space free area large TV and great choice of coffee and Tea facilitys avaliable . Comfortable bed and a plesant room view across the humber bridge . Bar and grill was amazing for food and quality of food was amazing the breckfast was mind blowing and all you could eat and drink it was delious and lots of choice . Pool and spa and gym was fab we loved it really clean and well maintained .
On arrival to the room and closer inspecation the room hadnt been checked or cleaned to a high standard .. skerting around the room was dirty and dusty and lots of rubbish under the bed and bits of old food ie nuts ect under the sideboard were tv was . Could of been cleaner .
We arrived just 3pm and room want ready. Price for food and beers etc are a higher than average.
The cleaning staff arriving over an hour before vheck out time.
The gym and the pool are great. It's also nice to have the bar & grill on-site. The room was well equipped and very clean.
The bed for the double room was 2 twin beds pushed together and was uncomfortable. It should definitely be a double mattress and not 2 twin beds pushed together. Sleeping with a seam in the middle is ridiculous.
The location and the pool
A number of things. I upgraded to a club room. Which, apart from giving access to the gym and pool seemed to give me a huge room with no space to do anything! By comparison even a Travelodge for £29 gives a sofa and a desk! The desk in the room is over taken with a huge tv and a coffee machine. A coffee machine with no milk! Furthermore, since I last stayed in a village hotel the breakfast has become diabolical! On what planet can’t even the KP knock up real scrambled eggs and fried eggs? Packet scrambled eggs is just disgusting! Especially at over £100 a night! Lastly, football is bollocks! There’s 6 screens in the bar and in the evening every one of them was playing football and the volume was so loud I couldn’t hear myself think! Not everyone gives a toss about football! If you’re playing sports, have a selection, ice hockey, rugby, motor sports, athletics, there’s sports on sky from around the world, put a different one on each tv! For this reason I went out to find food! Not eat in! These are all very simple and basic considerations but the biggest one for me is the breakfast quality! When the village is being outdone on breakfast! Come on! Fry and scramble fresh eggs! Even McDonald’s cook their eggs fresh!!
Location & price.
Having works completed during the night when I stayed so no water from 11pm to 4am and some drilling can be heard during the night. Staff didn’t seem bothered when I mentioned it.
The location was perfect, parking again was excellent, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved the bar area, food was spot on and felt so warm, friendly and cozy. We enjoyed the 80s night, food, staff and music fantastic. The room was perfect for what we needed.
Nothing all good
Your staff are really pleasant and friendly and I see them as your main asset. Also the room was comfortable and very clean.
I am a vegetarian and found the menu for vegetarian in the bar/grill was very boring, so I ate elsewhere. Also the bar was quite noisy. I can see how it appeals to people using the sports facilities but the ambience is not great for people after a long journey who want to relax and have a quiet meal.
I had a short say the the staff was friendly except for the reception at the time I checked in
Reception wasn't very friendly at the time I checked in
Comfortable and quiet. Ample parking.
Food wasn't the best.
Service was good, room lovely pool area nice.
Didn't really think it needed 4 tvs in the restaurant. A bit out the way if you wanted to walk somewhere.
as always staff extremely helpful and pleasant especially Lindsey at breakfast used the gym and bar/restaurant staff were excellent
Room was large and comfortable. Bathroom was large and worked jed well... WiFi was good.Bar and coffee shop in lobby... Great.
Food was over cooked and very small portions.... I'm not a big eater but mains were more like starters.....
Bed very comfy, spacious room, breakfast very nice.
Mirrors in the room very smeared
very good value for money, excellent pool and very friendly and helpful staff
too far from center of Hull with no near public transport on a Saturday
Lovely room and comfy bed.
The television didn't work.
Position was very good!
Room was a bit cold and the heating system struggled to cope. Fan in the shower room didn’t stop and the noise disrupted our sleep!
