    Pros +

    • Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. View of marina. Bath as well as shower. Really nice bar area.
    • Good warm room, excellent staff, great location, good breakfast.
    • Pleasant situation. Lift(I am disabled). Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

    Cons -

    • Huge armchairs in room were comfortable but made the room feel small. Breakfast was pretty much a disaster - only one member of staff to check people in and fill up the hot buffet. In the time we were in the dining room there was never all of the options on offer at the same time, then they ran out of sausages and mushrooms completely. Never seen that happen before in a hotel. Really heavy wooden 'shutters' instead of curtains in the bedrooms, they kept coming off their tracks when used.
    • No safe in the room
    • The heating system was hopelessly inadequate and my room was distinctly chilly. Very soft and spongy mattresses. Bottled drinking water in the room would usually be expected but not provided.

    It was okay but felt...

Struggled to reach the hotel by taxi . Not informed about entrance . Struggled and nearly missed taxi due to entrance issues . The taxi should have been informed . The charges did not include breakfast comparatively at that rate Hilton and Novotel in other cities have included breakfast and were cheaper! Room facilities were poor very stingy with tea bags ! I won’t be stopping here again ! Service was not the best either especially accessing the hotel and no previous information was provided and I was in inconvenienced . Food options were very limited !

The room was really nice, and the complimentary mini-fridge was such a lovely surprise. The breakfast food was very good, everything perfect, loads of choice - we'd like to know what coffee beans you use so we can buy some for home, very good coffee. The staff are so friendly and helpful, we felt well looked after.

Not so much a 'not like' as such but I think the bar and restaurant could do with some colour on the walls, it's all white and a bit clinical.

Comfortable room, excellent buffet breakfast, good location in the Marina a short walk from the old town and city centre

Love the location on the Marina, plenty of nice places to dine out down Humber Street which is always busy.

The property is a little outdated and could do with a freshen up,ripped curtains and the carpet and sofa bed were stained.Ongoing roadworks outside which make it a little difficult to get to the location and I feel parking on the premises should be included with the price

    The breakfast was good.

We had our 1 year old daughter with us who has specific dietary requirements so we carry her food with us. When, we went to the restaurant to order our dinner, the staff told us that we cannot feed our baby with the food we had for her as per hotel policy and we should leave and go to our room to feed her. To be honest, they didn't have anything in the menu that we could buy for our child so this seemed quite rude and unfair.

The hotel itself was nice enough. By the Marina and probably one of the nicest parts of Hull. The staff were nice and the room was clean.

My issues centred on the fact that give my room, #107, was literally beside where they were doing road works all night, I could not get a wink of sleep. It was loud (!), horrible and impossible to get rest. In fairness, they did put a mention on their website that there were road works at play. But what was not mentioned to me is the room I booked would suffer the noise impact so loudly! Reception could have said something when I checked in. Or given me options as I would not have stayed in that particular room. I didn't have ear buds or noise blockers of any sort. I'm not even sure if they would have helped tbh. The worst thing was, just when the road works stopped, the hotel was having building works done that required scaffolding to be built in the morning. For someone not feeling well, all I wanted and needed was sleep and rest. Sadly, I had neither. What an unfortunate experience. When I combined, they offered me compensation of £14. For some room service. Such a disappointment. I would never have stayed in that room if I was told clearly that I would have to deal with that level of noise, all night. Total transparency about the room they allocated to me would have been the right thing to do by the customer. Other smaller details - my in-room.phone stopped working in the morning and the hair dryer also did not work. They did switch the hair dryer out, but it was like a calamity of errors.
