Room freezing. Breakfast not brilliant

Charlotte was very helpful. She accommodated us by offering to serve us dinner after closing.

We felt the room size and extra bed for our daughter didn't match the price charged.

Lovely hotel - quirky decor and staff very good

Disappointed with the breakfast - no fruit left at 10am ( breakfast was served until 11am) and apparently the chef said could not provide more . We thought this unlikely for a hotel of this calibre and size. The cooked breakfast was fine but a 3 star selection of cereals.

A very quirky hotel with lovely quirky rooms and beautiful gardens and a lovely terrace to enjoy with a bar.The staff were all local and were all amazing.

The first time we visited was during Sunday lunch and the food was fab. The second time the food although lovely was pricey and the portions were very small but I think you would go there more for a fine dining experience.

This was our second stay at Highfield and this has become our reset haven. Each time it has been as special as the 1st and the team are so friendly and warm. Almost like old friends. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and it truly allows us to switch off. We already know we will be back again soon.

It has been the most amazing stay. We have felt like we were the most important guests, have been given the best room, the best food and the best service. The lady on reception (forgive me, I am terrible with names) greeted us so warmly and looked after us so well, we felt so welcome.The food has been fantastic too, a real treat.We are back next week in a different room, cannot wait!

My parents enjoyed their stay in the beautiful Mallard room. We all had dinner too which was fabulous. Highfield is an absolutely beautiful property and the staff were wonderful and professional

A stunning building in a beautiful setting that has been exquisitely decorated and furnished to a great standard. The staff are incredible and nothing is too much trouble. We had a wonderful, relaxing break and will certainly be returning.

We ate in the restaurant and had a very long wait for our food.

What an exceptional and magical place! Every corner is decorated with the highest level of attention to detail. Great materials, sense of interior decor and quality. The staff was amazing and the food delicious.

Nothing comes to mind

We stayed at highfield house for one night to celebrate a birthday. It’s a beautiful, characterful property, furnished beautifully. The grounds are lovely, with the cherry blossom and magnolias in full bloom and we could walk round them with the dog and sit outside with a drink. Our room Stitch was just gorgeous. The decor was really creative and the room light, airy and comfortable. Plenty of little extras like the sweets and different teas to select in a little kitchen area outside the room and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The dog was catered for with bed and bowls and welcomed everywhere except the restaurant. The staff were really great, very welcoming and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Food was good and breakfast amazing with very tasty veggie choices. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

The hotel it’s self were beautiful. The staff in the day were really friendly But the tv did not work in the room. There were no milk in the fridge where I was told there would be in the morning. I had to find some my self as there were no staff around to ask

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Abi was especially a star! The decoration in all the rooms was unique and decadent, the bed extremely comfortable and the bath with Bramley toiletries luxurious. The food served for dinner in the evening was exceptional.

Staff were very friendly but weren’t very adept at seeing when things needed refilling when empty or missing.

Highfield is quite exceptional. A wonderfully bespoke hotel with accommodation of the highest quality : no two rooms the same and each one individually themed to exquisite taste. Delightful in every respect.

Lovely stay because we were looked after so well by ALL the staff. Lauren in particular was very attentive to all our needs and was most polite and cheerful…..a fantastic representative for Highfield House…..and so was the very friendly and helpful front of house young lady

A longer stay

Beautiful room very comfortable. Fabulous food we had evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast, couldn’t fault either .
