Pros +
- Very big rooms with a beautiful view on the mountains surrounding the hotel. The building is brand new inside while keeping the charm of the ancient on the outside. Beds are confortable and the breakfast very good. A big plus for the very cute cat of the hotel who will always come hug you!
- The hotel is lovely and the staff are very nice and friendly.
- Very nice for a short stay. We enjoyed our room with table and the nice wellness area with 2 saunas. The breakfast selection was also super nice with many options.
Cons -
- We booked half board, as I was traveling with kids and I didn’t want to worry about dinner. I thought it would be some kind of a buffet, as was the case in another hotel where we had stayed. But instead we were served a 5 course regional tasting menu. This would have been lovely as a gastronomical experience, but we were extremely tired after a full day of skiing and driving and just wanted to have dinner and go to sleep. But here I was with two tired kids who just wanted a burger. Which the people at the table next to ours had. So there was a normal menu and we just didn’t know what we had booked. This should have been specified. That evening was really not a good time for us to have had this surprise experience which otherwise could have been wonderful.
- Depends what you are up to, but you definitely need a car and it takes a while to get to the skiing slopes. If that doesn’t matter, Mariasteinerhof is the place to be to spend the night!
- The church bells just outside our window, rang all night. Plus building going on at the moment

Breakfast
Location, view, food, breakfast, friendly staff.
The hotel is very well located a short distance from the motorway leading to the Brenner. It is one of those typical pretty Austrian village houses. The staff welcomed us warmly and even offered to keep our food and ice packs in their freezer. We had a lovely meal and the room was very pretty.
The bathroom is a bit small, but it's ok for a short stay.
Great view. Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Great food. Very nice breakfast. Recommended.
We spent one night enroute Dolomites from Munich airport after a long transatlantic flight; purpose was just road side night stay. But even though it rained on us entire time, the convenience of location (close to highway yet slightly off of it) and the ambience (majestic chalet nestled in greenery; we were in a top floor room with balcony facing the church which rang bells periodically) was very pleasant. We would like to stay here in future trip and experience (spa et all) with leisure. Hosts were warm and cordial. Best part was the pine liquer that they make. Wish we had bought more. Love to get it shipped home it possible.
Parking was tight.
I booked 4 rooms for my family for our wedding. They were very happy with their stay at Hotel Mariasteinerhof. Very nice owners and staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I can highly recommend this property and will definitely book it again.
We had a wonderful staying at Hotel Mariasteinerhof! The room was nice and clean. The stunning views of nature absolutelycaptivated us.
very nice hotel with a big breakfast buffet. No noise in tyhe hotel, totally lost in the nature. a dream!
Clean room, delicious breakfast, very kind staff, spacious room and balcony and lovely surroundings.
I wish I had had a room with a view of the mountains.
Very nice location, excellent breakfast, extra bed on sofa is enough comfortable for adult, balcony with sitting and nice view, very clean and well equipped room including bathrobe and slippers
Nice location, confortable room
Manager of restaurant staff was very unfriendly
Very welcoming and accommodating staff. The restaurant was excellent, for both dinner and breakfast. Charming feel to the hotel.
The room had almost no air flow, even with the windows wide open. It was quite stuffy and that made for a less-than-restful sleep. Traffic noise from the nearby intersection didn't help either.
