About

A warm welcome to Hotel Kammerhof in the beautiful village of Mariastein, located just 656 feet from the famous pilgrimage church. Nestled amid the beautiful Tyrolean landscape, our hotel offers a peaceful and cozy atmosphere for couples, families, and groups of friends. Our comfortable rooms feature free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and a private bathroom. Depending on the room category, guests enjoy either a private balcony or a cozy, private outdoor seating area. In our à la carte restaurant, we serve traditional Tyrolean and Austrian specialties alongside Italian dishes. Our homemade pizzas are particularly popular. The restaurant terrace invites you to enjoy a delicious meal or a drink while taking in the tranquil atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. We extend a special welcome to families with children. Our own playground is located right next to the restaurant terrace, allowing parents to relax while their children play nearby. For guests traveling with pets, we offer selected pet-friendly rooms in the main building. Accommodations with pets is available only by prior arrangement. Pets are not permitted in the holiday home or in certain room categories. We also offer guaranteed pet-free rooms in the main building for guests with allergies. Our spacious 180 ft² holiday home is located approximately 984 feet from the main building—an easy three-minute walk away. Ideally suited for families and groups of friends, it offers plenty of privacy and tranquility, featuring a private entrance, a private garden, and dedicated parking. Thanks to its spacious ground-floor layout, it is also suitable for wheelchair users. The holiday home features a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living area, a separate bedroom, and a fireplace. A large public playground is located right in front of the building, making the holiday home a popular choice for families with children. During the winter season, the holiday home is particularly appealing to cross-country skiing enthusiasts, as the trail starts right on the doorstep. Our hotel also serves as an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. The Kirchbichl exit on the A12 motorway is just 3.1 mi away, and the Wilder Kaiser – Brixental ski area can be reached in about 15 minutes via the free ski bus. Whether you are planning a family holiday, an active winter getaway, a relaxing break amid nature, or a cozy stay in Tyrol, Hotel Kammerhof is the perfect starting point for discovering this beautiful region. We look forward to welcoming you to Hotel Kammerhof and treating you to genuine Tyrolean hospitality!

    Pros +

    • A pretty good continental breakfast. Location is very central. We travelled with a car to the nearest skiing resort which is about 30 minutes far.
    • great place and awesome view on the mountains ! the apartment is spacious and super clean .we had a balcony and we really enjoyed the beautiful view .there was a grocery store nearby to get food for breakfast and meals
    • This was one of the best, most authentic stays that we had in Austria. The staff was very friendly, hospitable and welcoming. The breakfast was very good! The room was clean and comfortable. I would love to stay here again. Visit the Haflinger horses at Folenhof when you stay here.

    Cons -

    • the check-in process ! it was a pain ! I had to submit SO much informations about each travelers including copies of our passports to be able to receive the code for the keys the day we were coming (which I never received !) .when we arrived there was a sign on the door ,there was no staff nor open restaurant that day ! I ended up messaging the owner through Booking to get the code .we had to drive to the nearest store to get food .the shower head fell off , we had to hold it .the kitchen did not have much dishes to use , no cereal bowls for example .
    • Everything was great!
    • Old fashioned room design unfortunately but there is a lot of wooden furniture so it’s in eco stile.

Two separate rooms in the family room, parking just opposite to building, indoor and outdoor playground, friendly staff, Italian and Austrian restaurant, basic breakfast but enough options for vegetarians, shared balcony, clean room, possible late check-in

Internet connection is not stable, indoor play area is just opposite the washroom

Big room and nice view from balcony

We arrived late the night before and slept in. We initially thought it was a nice touch that we were woken up ‚because breakfast will close‘. Only later did we realize that we booked without breakfast, then it no longer seemed right.

Amazing breakfast, very dedicated and friendly team, large room, quietness of the place, location.

Location is a bit remote but great, on a small village surrounded by huge mountains. You can park your car inside the premises. Room was quite big and had everything we needed. The restaurant (for dinner) has very decent quality. Since we left “early” in the morning, they prepared us a breakfast box to take away.

Self check-in feels unnecessary and it slows everything down. Our room had a separate sleeping room which only featured a bed and a drawer, meaning we had nowhere to hang our clothes or similar. Breakfast starts at 7:45h (way too late if you’re planning to go skiing), so we had to skip it (we got breakfast boxes to go instead).

Nice cozy family hotel, beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was good

The bed and blankets were too small, didn't fit with my 1.83m

Hotel is well located to hit the slopes the next morning. Kitzbühel was our destination and is 45min away.

Very comfortable big rooms, friendly staff, a generous and tasty breakfast. Even the “Lunchpakets” that we had when we had to leave before breakfast, were very tasty. The pizza at the restaurant is just excellent. Children’s toys and books in the lobby, fresh fruit and water in the rooms. You can tell that these people understand something about hospitality.

For a skier, breakfast starting at 7:30 is just too late. Part of our group had to be at the ski lift at 7:50, and had to take the lunch boxes instead of the breakfasts. The lunch boxes were very good though. Another observation is that the hall in the second floor is very broad. If made smaller, our room could be extended to a full-size two-room apartment. This is not criticism, just an observation.

Lovely quiet area. For us perfect stop on the way back from Italy to Germany. Delicious breakfast with good range to choose from. We also try the restaurant and can recommend it.

    8Nina C.Posted on: 10-14-2023

Great price for the area. Huge rooms and big balcony. Clean and spacious with a nice view of the castle, the mountains and the town. The staff was helpful and kind. Great food at the restaurant (huge servings). Good and plentiful breakfast. The whole place is super authentic with beautiful Austrian rugs and wood and plants all over. Really pretty. Free parking.

The shower door does not shut properly so the whole floor gets wet. Needs to be fixed. No screens in windows or AC so when opening windows for air the bugs and mosquitos come in.

    Pleasant

Beds were squeaky. The room was spacy yet old-fashioned.

    7KasiaPosted on: 7-10-2023

    Quiet, clean room

On booking is written than price includes taxes, but we have to paid them in hotel. Plus if you want to eat breakfast, you can eat just at 7.30, later it is not possible
