    Pros +

    • Nice Chateau , comfortable rooms with authentic decor . Restaurant in Chateau for dinner was excellent
    • The meal in the restaurant was exceptional. We tried the local caviar, had amazing wine pairings, and everything was exquisite! We got the family room, with our daughter having her room in the tower! It was amazing to have a night in a chateau like this.
    • We had a superb stay at this chateau. Beautifully presented, exceptionally comfortable and very welcoming host. Super breakfast too.

    Cons -

    • Everything was to our liking.
    • We arrived on a rainy day and thought it was worth trying to check in early. Bat at mid-day there was no one around, only a sign that said come back after 4 p.m. When we returned, I asked whether breakfast was included in the room cost and was told it was. When we checked out after an excellent breakfast the next morning, we were charged for breakfast.Between no staff around at our early arrival and the remoteness of the chateau, I felt that our stay would have been more enjoyable if we had been travelling with friends.
    • Nothing to dislike.

Chateau de LaLande is a little out of the way, but beautifully restored with upholstered walls and lovely gardens. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed. Dinner in the garden was lovely, and the food was excellent.

Everything from the tastefully renovated chateau to the excellent food, both breakfast and dinner. The pool area was really good. And at last but not least, the owners are warm and extremely service minded!

    Nothing to dislike.

Breakfast, cooked freshly by the owner chef, was pricey but well worth it. It was served either in the beautifully apointed breakfast room, or, weather permitting, in the exquisite courtyard.

Charge for parking, in a rural area, with plentiful room, is probably excessive.

Very friendly staff and great food.

Water only tepid, wi-fi patchy and mattress soft.

Exceptionally friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Professional & perfect in every way. Beautiful building expertly run & super to be surrounded by antiques & old books. Gorgeous courtyard setting for a glass of wine Al fresco if the weather had been better. Highly recommended.

This was a treat for us as a one-night stay during our 3 weeks in France. The family room was awesome - our 15 yr old son had the round turret room - such a cool place to stop! Our bed was the biggest bed I have ever seen and soooo comfortable. It was all the old-world luxury we hoped for. Really friendly couple running the place. Beautiful old chateau. Pre-dinner drinks, nibbles, the evening meal we had booked in their dining room - was absolutely outstanding - 5*****. The included breakfast was delicious too - it was a very memorable stay.

Fantastic stay that exceeded expectations. The chateau is amazing; photos cannot do it justice - amazing, beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. Make sure to eat at the chateau restaurant - not to be missed; food is just so amazing using local ingredients and beautifully presented. Room very comfortable, spacious, will all amenities required (hair drier, TV, soap/conditioner, bath robes, etc.).We would absolutely come back.

Breakfast & evening meal both excellent. Bed was comfortable & bathroom spotless! The walls are covered in fabric & the whole place is beautifully restored.
