Great and very pleasant staff. Nice and very clean rooms. Breakfast was great.

Air conditioning would help.

The staff in the reception were extremely nice. We brought our small coton dog and they placed a water and eating bowl for our dog in our apartment. They also gave her a chewing bone.Also the included breakfast buffet was really good!It is also worth to mention that the beds are really comfortable.We would definitely like to stay at Altwernigeröder Apparthotel again.

Nothing really. The interior in the hotel is old, but it does not really matter.

Convenient, clean, comfortable

Beautiful city, friendly staff. The rooms were plain, clean and simple. No aircon, it was a bit hot in summer. Location fantastic! Spanish restaurant and potato restaurant worth trying!

It was quite fine - rooms simple and clean but no airconditioner.

The hotel is located in the centre, near to the market place. The rooms are spacious and we had a very nice balcony with a beautiful view to a church and some old houses. Very good breakfast with everything, you could wish.

That’s the location was right in town and walking distance from anything. They also had an ABC in English.

The shower was a bit small but not a big problem.

The location is very central, room had a spectacular view with a balcony overlooking the town. Worth staying again.

There was a foul smell coming from the toilet after the room was cleaned, it only lasted for a day and we didn't get the room cleaned. so not sure if it had to do something with the cleaning. We were occupied and hence couldn't inform it at the reception.

Lovely staff, excellent central location, sumptuous breakfast… with soft-boiled eggs - yum!

Location was great. Beds were comfy.

Taxes added at the end of stay, rather than being included in the initial cost.Breakfast was extra, which was fine. But drinks were not included in the breakfast cost, and this was extra again.

The room was spacious and had good natural light with a beautiful view of the castle. There was a bottle of water for us and they had a nice selection of teas. Although it's quite dated, the housekeeping did a good job making it clean. Great location.

The smell. The hallway smelled so strongly of the restaurant downstairs and the room had a weird electrical smell, maybe from older appliances? I had to air out the room several times each evening and morning (too cold in November to just leave the windows open) Bring earplugs. The windows are not soundproof and the refrigerator was loud in the night.

Well located, sauna on site (extra cost), great mix between an apartment and a hotel, friendly and helpful staff

Very nice hotel with great stuff! The view from the balcony in our room was amazing. It’s located in the city centre and there is a bus stop just nearby where you can take the sightseeing tour to the castle and around the city.

located near city hall, restaurant & scenic spot. 15 mins walk from main train station. 6 mins walk to west station. Large & comfort room. Polite & helful staff.

Room was great. We were early but they still allowed us to park and gave us a lot of info so we could get started with our sightseeing.

Mini-fridge didn't have a freezer portion, which was disappointing.

This hotel is rated 3 stars but should be 4. It was such a pleasant surprise with a large bedroom and bathroom. Restaurant could be the best we’ve eaten at in Germany so far. Bed was a bit hard but ok. Location was perfect to see all the fights. Reception was very friendly. Highly recommend.

Guests have to choose a time slot for breakfast. When I arrived, only 7-8 or 10-11 were available.
