Hotel Mühlental

The location was very good—quiet and peaceful. The house interior, room, bed, and lighting were all amazing, and the exterior was beautiful as well. I visited during the last week of December and really enjoyed my stay.It’s a little far from Wernigerode HBF; I walked from the station to Mühlental. From the backside of the hotel, you can also trek towards Wernigerode Castle, which is very beautiful. The area outside Mühlental offers scenic views.The breakfast was also amazing. Overall, Wernigerode is a lovely small town. I loved it, and I will definitely stay at the same hotel again.

Good location, very good breakfast. It was easy to get the keys from the box. We had a family suite with 2 rooms. It was enough place for family with 2 kids, even 2 bathrooms - one in each room - very good for that price

It was very cold in one of the room, so we had to put heater on maximum. After couple of hours it was ok.

The hotel is located close to the forest area, making it a perfect option if one wants to go hiking. The hotel was pretty quiet and the room was cozy.

The blankets were hardly enough to cover one person. Besides, it would be great if some liquid soap could be available in the bathroom. Finally considering the price, the breakfast could include more options.

Super nice hosts, spacious beautiful rooms with everything you need, very good breakfast, nice and quiet location with a direct access to a quiet walking path that takes you through forest and cemetery to the old down in 15-20 min - or to the castle, or into the forest.

There isn’t really anything negative. If anything due to the locker system, you may not be able to leave your luggage for the day on day of checkout (but the hosts are very helpful) and the bathrooms are a bit oldschool (but spacious)

When we went for the breakfast female staff was pretty unfriendly and asked us for the tourist fee. And when we paid she was a pretty rude way to stop me and demand me for the signature on the paper. I never had experienced such aggressive customer service. She was friendly to other German customers so perhaps it is because I am Asian she was so rude. The room was clean, but the bathroom was so old that the ventilation fan was massively loud.

The hotel was clean and the staff who served us breakfast were friendly. We only stayed for one night and had a basic room but it was clean and quiet. The hotel is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, close to a park which was very convenient as we were travelling with a dog. The town centre was a stroll away.

The hotel manager is super friendly. The interior of the hotel looks retro and has many corners decorated with old photography style. It has a huge parking area behind the house, BUT...

It doesn't have an area for parking bikes

The staff was really friendly, the breakfast display was small but had everything you needed, the beds were really comfy.

Absolutely fantastic stay. We had an exceptional stay, with a special shout out to Alex. Every morning, we had a delightful breakfast conversation with many insights, tips, and historical information from someone passionate about this wonderful region in Germany. The hotel is still partially under renovation, so it is a work in progress, but it still was a wonderful regional experience with staff that treated us as family.

Great location right next to forest with lots of beautiful paths leading to the amazing castle, and it is the perfect place for travellers with dogs.At the same time, it is just a 10 minutes walk to the old town which is definitely worth seeing.We liked the spacious rooms in loft style and wooden floor, comfortable beds, nice building with historical atmosphere, tasty breakfast with good coffee. There was a selection of tea and coffee in the room. Free and safe parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you for the stay.

some soap in the bathroom would have been nice ...

The house itself! My child was so sad we couldn’t go back to Elsa’s castle! Too bad we stayed this short, next time longer!
